I now want to go sailing in the south of France. This book was very enjoyable - well written, especially for a teenager, although the main character is a bit unbelievably shallow or light when it comes to taking actions which are likely to have serious consequences. Maybe it is an accurate portrayal by an 18 year old French girl of how some 17 year olds act and make decisions, and just seems trivial because I am now an old man... Very good though and I ought to have read it years ago.

Teenage potboiler, a selfish and amoral protagonist, perfect in its own twisted way.

I was like “damn this is so silly and fun why is ‘sad’ one of the main traits on StoryGraph” until like the fourth to last page. Still fun! Loved it!

3.75– perfect summer read. it’s so very atmospheric and makes me wish i were on vacation by the beach and falling in love and sunbathing.
i didn’t feel very attached to the characters, as it was a short book, but the writing was beautiful and the imagery was vivid, would definitely recommend to read this during the summer or during winter when your missing the summer heat.
