Bref parfait. Surtout après avoir vu TLOU

This is one of those books that will leave you feeling both fulfilled and empty by the end. So much happens in this book and yet by the end you still find yourself wanting more. This is one of the best books I have read in a long time and I recommend it to anyone who knows how to read. 5/5⭐️ will be reading this again! P.s. this one's a tear jerker, I am currently crying.

A beautiful book that follows the story of 2 equally compelling characters and their journey through a desolated world. Honestly speaking, it was everything I expected and more. Finally finding a book with a post-apocalyptic setting that's actually gay and doesn't shy away from highlighting the issues and difficulties other minorities face and the corrupt systems that govern us is quite literally like finding a Dodo, and I'm so glad I found it. From the description of the characters' inner battles to
the way the writer describes how little by little they learned to trust each other, how they fell in love with one another and how that love and the risk of losing it made them feel
, the book not once failed to inmerse you and make you feel the emotions they were feelings. I also really enjoyed the pop culture references and jokes, even if one or two felt a bit out of place (but also like, it's the apocalypse, who cares, I'd probably do the same). Overall a really great book that left me feeling both emotional and refreshed, would certainly recommend.

I absolutely DEVOURED this book! I usually take a couple of days to read a book and this took me less than 48 hours! The boys are so cute and kind and I just want to give them the world. They both had a lot of traumatic events in their past but still find enough love in their hearts to share that love with each other. Honourable mention; Henri was so sweet I loved her so much, obviously my favourite secondary character!
(Lgbtq+ rep: gay, bi)

This book was such a surprise.

Honestly, I imagined I was done with apocalypse books in a COVID world, but this was peddled to me hard as the queer romance I needed.

It was so much more than a romance or a post apocalypse book. As a YA novel, some themes were pretty obvious, but over all it was beautifully written and addressed such a difficult topic at a difficult time.

The main characters are adorable and they cry and it's real! That being said, I found their voices very similar so occasionally would have to look back and see whose chapter I was reading. As well, the side characters are a little under developed.

The romance doesn't feel forced. Instead it's just sweet moments and a whole lot of feelings.

Besides the cute queer romance though, this book was really well written as an adventure. While it may have followed some cliché storyline and themes, it never once felt forced or fake. Instead it was riveting. I was always unsure where the story would go next and the tense moments truly got my heart racing.

So while there may be flaws, it still receives a full 5 stars for me 🌟 What a fantastic novel, told with a gentle handle, for our very fragile world.
