This book was read thanks to NetGalley

She is an actress and he is GOSSIP REPORTER, how contrary is that, they are supposed to hate each other, like she is everything he hates, and his job makes it hard for her to like him, so when they meet and he is nice to her, it confused her, and they realize that they are not that different, that they maybe hate their feelings wrong. It's a nice read, I really liked it.

I really enjoyed this Hollywood romance enemies to lovers novella by Susannah Nix. Kimberleigh and Spencer have a rocky past but when Spencer comes to her aid one night when she's having a panic attack Kimberleigh starts to realize maybe he wasn't as bad as she first thought. Steamy and full of heart. I really enjoyed the mental health rep and how vulnerable the characters got, struggling to take a chance on love but still willing to forgive when feelings get hurt. I'm excited to read the next books in the Star Struck series! Much thanks to NetGalley and the author for my advance review copy!

This was such a cute short read! I loved that the characters connected in a way that isn’t common in other romances and shed some light on some very relevant feelings/situations that people go through everyday.

Although I would have loved to see more of the “enemies” in the enemies to lovers aspect, I’m excited to check out the rest of the series!

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for an eARC of this book.

(First of all, thank you so much NetGalley, publisher, and author, for providing me this ARC in exchange for an honest review)

Synopsis: Kimberleigh Cress is a cold and popular Hollywood actress that never shows weaknesses. Ever. Especially not in front of the press. Spencer Devlin is a tabloid reporter and Kimberleigh hates his guts because of an interview that went bad and viral. But when he comes upon her during a vulnerable moment, sexy, charming, and surprisingly thoughtful, Spencer Devlin isn’t at all who Kimberleigh thought he was. She can’t seem to stay away from him—even though she knows she should and he can't either.

Opinion: I'm not gonna lie. This book caught my eye at first for the spectacular cover that I adore but also because of the synopsis. My expectations were high. I thought I would enjoy and love this book so much but I ended it with mixed opinions. Because I saw the potential, it could really be so great like 4 or even 5 starts to me even the short length of the book, but then there were little tiny things, thoughts, expressions that got me out of the story and it was like "why?".

*Kind of spoiler*
I also was mad at one drama scene because I didn't understand (and possibly I will never) why people don't talk? And listen? And then make their decision? ARGG.

*Spoiler free again*
Final statement: This is just my opinion, so I encourage to read it because maybe you won't see this stuff I'm complaining and you actually enjoy it and discover a new saga you will adore.

Thank you to NetGally and Haver Street Press for allowing me to read this ARC of Star Bright, that releases tomorrow. I am always grateful when I get to read a book ahead of the publish date.

Synopsis: She is an A-List Hollywood Starlet and he is a gossip reporter. Kimberleigh Cress Rule No. 1 - Do Not Show Weakness! Especially in front of the press. When a sleazy tabloid reporter, Spencer Devin, comes upon her during a vulnerable moment, the last thing she expects is kindness. She cannot seem to stay away from him. Spencer never expected to share this connection with someone who hated him. Will he do anything to to keep her in his life?

My thoughts: This was written mainly from the POV of Kimberleigh Cress with some of the insights from Spencer Devin sprinkled throughout. The chapters are short. This was a quick, fun, sweet read. While this is a beginning of a series, it is just as good as a stand alone book. The characters were developed strong and spot on. The plot was brilliantly written. The writing style was clear and very easy to follow. I tend to like these romantic comedy’s that have some spice, but not too much. They are a good break from thrillers. I really enjoyed reading this book. I would read other books in this series, or any book written by this author. I just adored the writing style. This book comes out tomorrow, do not waste anytime, buy the book!!

This book was ok, I guess. The thing is I wasn't really hooked, even if the plot wasn't bad, and therefore I found it difficult to read it. I'm sure that people who enjoy more relaxed or slow books will love this piece but unfortunately, that was not my case. I wasn't able to finish it but the writing and the plot were good, I think it was just that I wasn't at the best moment to try to read it, which doesn't mean that you will not like the book so don't pay too much attention to this if it was just me who had this problem because I was kind of stuck in my current reads as it was.
