When I dowloaded this book on my kindle I thought oh a short sweet steamy read, perfect! While it was all those things, it also made me more emotional than I thought it would. I cried during a few scenes, and was deeply invested in these characters. Am I the only one who low key craves catastrophic events and watching the heroes freak out and save the girl? That’s my JAM.

It was one of those books that kept me up until 3AM because I just HAD to finish it. There was no other choice. This was my first Tia Louise book and I will 100% be going through her backlist and reading more of her books. Her writing style was perfect for me. Plus who doesn’t love Second Chance romance?! It gets me every time.

With the final book of the Bayside Heroes series of standalones, you’ll find, what I believe to be, the best of the bunch. Tangled Up, in my mind, ties with Washed Up, book 1 of this series, as the most interesting, offering layers of the story grounded in second chances and abiding love. Tia Louise has crafted a story that makes her readers work harder for that happy ending, something that only one other book in the series, Washed Up, did. For this reader, it makes for a more interesting fraught read. I’m a personal fan of the second chance trope. Add to that some romantic suspense in the form of a stalker, and you love Beck and Carly’s story. Tia Louise provides her readers with several twists in this story: the reasons for Beck and Carly’s first break-up, the challenges of re-kindling their fated relationship, a father who interferes, and a patient bent on revenge. All of these plot points conspire to bring the best of the best at the ending of this series. I also love that Tia Louise provides a bonus epilogue, one of her signatures, for this story. It offers up a bit more for Beck and Carly’s happily ever after, and it gives us a quick nod to the other couples of the Bayside crew.

If I have any criticism for Tangled Up, it would be Carly’s characterization. For a psychologist, her responses to Beck feel inconsistent with the nature of a psychologist. However, this never overpowers the gravity of the hurt that Beck must overcome to win her back.

This series has been a lovely respite during a busy, chaotic time of the year. Tia Louise’s Tangled Up ends it beautifully and makes the suggestion that Kandi Steiner, Harloe Rae, K.K. Allen, and Tia Louise should write more series together in the future.

With Tangled up, Beck and Carly build the finale story in this amazing series!
I enjoyed each and every book and even fell in love with many of the characters.

We haven‘t really seen much of Beck in the previous books, so I didn‘t really know what to expect from his story.
I‘m a sucker for second chance, friends to lovers so I did enjoy Beck and Carly alot.
In the beginning of the books I wasn‘t sure if I was a fan of Carly though. Alot of miscommunication didn‘t help their past at all and although I love a good miscom., in this case it wasn‘t what I hoped for.

Tangled up was a steamy, suspensefull read.
I am curious if we get to see some of the second characters from Eden in some future books!

Tia Louise delivers a sweet and swoony second chance love story for the final story in the Bayside Heroes series, and this one even has a bit of unexpected danger and suspense to go along with the heartfelt romance. Yet another great visit to this world that has captured my heart- I’m not ready to say goodbye to the amazing Bayside world.

Tia’s story focuses on the swoony Beck Munroe- the somewhat mysterious friend of the Bayside crew that we don’t know much about yet, other than we've seen that eventually his heart ends up with a girl named Carly outside of town. And now we get the breadth of their story, as we learn that Beck and Carly were each other’s first loves many years ago. Carly has returned to her hometown of Eden to hideout after one of her patients from her criminal psychology work may potentially harm her. She finds safety in the comfort of her friends and family, but she never expects to confront her past with Beck when their paths cross when he too is visiting home. Their hearts still beat for each other- and in the midst of the threat of danger, a sweet and steamy second chance blossoms.

Tia Louise always knows how to touch my heart with the sweet sincerity of first love, and here we get to experience that through the eyes of two people much older who are reconnecting with their young love feelings. Misunderstandings and time have kept them apart, and it was magical to see them working through the drama of their past and present with that Tia Louise trademark tenderness. Beck is every bit as delicious as the other Bayside men we’ve met- he’s kind, emotionally open, protective and so sweet. He shows up for Carly in all the ways that make my heart pitter pat. And I loved watching Carly’s journey- she’s got some spark, and her connection with Beck felt so authentic- Tia definitely helped build a chemistry that was believable one rooted in history and friendship.

Unlike the other stories, we have a bit of danger and suspense with Carly’s stalker patient that gave this a bit more of an edge. This kept the pages turning. What I missed though was the Bayside Crew. I didn’t dislike the new cast of characters we got here in Eden, but I felt a bit sad that the final Bayside story didn’t center around the crew I’ve fallen in love with. I wished we’d gotten more of them, and some time seeing our other couples in their HEA bliss alongside Carly and Beck, but perhaps these authors will gift us with more in this world- because I adored this series- each author has brought the feels, a bit of humor, meaningful emotional, and lots of heat. I really hope we find our way back to this world one day!

A wildly addicting second chance romance with delicious enemies-to-lovers vibes weaved throughout, Tangled Up swept me off my feet and left me breathless. Tia Louise knows how to suck you in from the start and keep you begging for more. Surprising, fresh, and beautifully written. Five stars and a tequila sunrise!

This story completely blew me away. I was so captivated by the story I barely stopped to highlight any quotes or paragraphs! Tangled Up is a story of second chances. After the big car pile up, Beck decides he needs to return to his hometown for a break, and to find whatever it is he is looking for. Carly, Beck’s first love, is also back in town thanks to a case that may have gotten a little complicated, putting Carly in danger.

Carly and Beck have so much love for each other, but also so much hate. This ended pretty ugly between them. They made mistakes and have many regrets. Their pain and anger is still present all these years later and it erupts between them when they are reunited. Carly and Beck have to come clean about how things ended between them. Beck was so overwhelmed with his grief that he ghosted Carly who ended up marrying someone else. That pain doesn’t go away but they decided to work through it. Their story broke my heart and made me swoon all at the same time. And somehow amongst the serious themes of the story, there were the secondary characters who were absolutely hysterical. The suspense just added a whole extra layer of amazingness to this story.

This is the best second chance romance I’ve read in a while!! It’s been a long time since I’ve picked up a book by this author and I just couldn’t put this book down.

This book… I just don’t have words to explain. This author knocked it out of the park with this book.

It wasn’t only the plot that kept me engaged. The writing was so good and fast paced. The chemistry between these two characters was hot and there was just enough suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat.

I am really enjoying the Bayside Heroes world and I know you will too.

*I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

Carly and Beck...they were a teenage love. An accident that put Beck in the path of an old neighbor from Eden opened up a can of worms and sent him back to the little paradise on the Gulf and straight into the path of the girl whose heart he broke. This is a second chance, best friends little sister, friends to lovers to enemies to lovers romance. It's filled with heart, steam, suspense, funny old people, and an amazing conclusion to this 4 author 4 book interconnected series. If you haven't read all the books, I highly recommend you do so. Tia, you may have knocked my couple's hierarchy around in the series with Beck and Carly.
