If Roth refers to Layla as “shortie” again in the final book I will not be finishing this series
Heat Level: Low No sex, but heavy make-out scenes
Well damn. How has JLA made it so that I want the main character to just have both of these love interests?! Seriously. I am on team Have Them Both.
*Spoilers Ahead*
This was just as much of an addicting page-turner as the first book in this series. It is fun and snarky and full of action and angst. There is a love triangle, but in my opinion, it is done perfectly because I honestly can't choose who she should end up with. They both have pros and cons and usually I can tell because the one they don't end up with like turns into a tool. I haven't read the third book, so maybe one of them does eventually, but after this second one? I am torn.
Also, I knew something was up with Sam. As soon as his look and attitude change kept getting mentioned, I knew it was going to be something. I'm not surprised he turned out to be the Lilan, however, I wasn't completely sure. I don't understand how he managed to kill all these people though that Layla was around because he wasn't around all the time, but that might be explained in the next book.

Another amazing book by Jennifer Armentrout! I need book 3 like right now!
This book is great! Just like the first ones! Jennifer Armentrout plays with our feelings and, honestly, I sometimes wasn't sure what to feel! It was extremely emotionally but perfect. It was the right mixture of romance, action and drama!
Less funny, witty, and steamy than the first one. Still mindlessly entertained my inner trash panda.
I’m just gonna start by saying I don’t like Abbot and I will forever be Team Roth! Fine, maybe I swooned a little tinsy bit for Zanye but Roth is endgame. I can’t tell if the ending surprised me or not cause me being stupid flipped to the last page of the book and read the last line and BAM there went the major twist. Note to self: DON’T DO THAT AGAIN! Anyways Armentrout never fails to surprise me with her writing. Overall, it was beautiful and riveting read. I can’t wait to see what mayhem occurs in the next book.
