I love this book and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series! I just picked this one up on my Kindle app for free. The storyline seemed to be up my alley and it proved to be true. The relationship between Angela and Ryan was very entertaining to see unfold. The supporting characters were also very relatable and were a great set up for the next installations to the series.

This is like a 3.5. I listened to the audiobook and the accents were not it for me AND I wanted more info about Ryan's family.

I love these two! her confidence. His confidence, well, cocky-ness is a better description. I love how they meet. How they fall in love. How he quits his job and they build her brand to be bigger and better and include him. This is like a fairy-tale love story. Everything is sooo perfect with them.

There wasn't too much drama, but I am all for a man that wants to support his woman in anyway possible! And Ryan joining Angela's vlog is perfect! H didn't care if he looked whipped or like a punk or whatever this new generation calls it; he just wanted to support and help his lady!

I laughed and fell in love! Great book!

I am Angela!

Angela's story really resonated with me from her relationship with Khalil to living life like a hermit and even having a scowl or resting B***h face as i like to call it when going out in public. I never thought my life could be captured in a book that I didn't have input on. Alexandria's writing had me screaming and laughing but most importantly excited that Angela finally got the love she deserved. Now hopefully my real life story will have the same ending!

I wasn't feeling the love or the narrators. I'm from Louisiana so maybe I'm bias but the accents don't sound like any I've EVER heard. It was a bit boring the side plot was way more interesting. All the sisters are a mess and need therapy. I hate the Angie never addressed her actual issues she just got a man and her life was better. Sis has some serious issues she needs to address.

I want to preface this review with the fact that I appreciate the representation of black love, natural hair love  and the fact that Ryan, Angela and her family broke the stereotypical mold of black characters.  Alexandria House is a fantastic author and her prose are great, but this book didn’t work.  I understand giving side characters conflict, but not EVERY single one needs a traumatic backstory.  Also, as a black woman, I understand the idea of taking back the n-word, but I just hate it, even the n***a variation.  Every time someone used it, I was taken out of the story.  And then there was the fact that Angela and Ryan’s relationship was not fleshed out and every moment was boom-boom-boom; almost like she was attempting to hit the necessary plot points.  Ryan as our Hero was not a good hero.  I didn't root for him or his journey.  He was inconsiderate and gross from the beginning.  and after one or two scenes with Angela, he was a changed man.

Awww this was so sweet and swoony! Angela and Ryan are really good together and they know with all the drama going on around them, they are their safe space. So romantic!

I had so many feelings while reading this book. I laughed so hard at parts and said “biiiiitch” at others! I really wish there were other people reading with me so I could stop reading and say “did y’all hear what so and so just said?!” Anyways it’s worth the read and had plenty of sexy times!!
