Finding Fraser

This is my mistake, I thought reading this book while watching the show would be fun. I didn’t consider the fact that there might be spoilers. Of course the show Outlander is based on its own book series, but for once I didn’t read the series before the show. And I’m not going to let this book spoil the story for me.

I couldn’t get into the story anyway. So, rather than set this aside and read it later, I’m going to call it a DNF at about page 150.

ça m’a gossée assez beaucoup).

What the.

Relatable

How often do we go through life disappointed because it doesn't turn out as we expect? In this delightful book, the main character finds that expectations can detract from living life fully.

Much like Emma, I feel in love with Jamie Fraser from the very beginning of Outlander. I agree with Emma, that he is the perfect type of man for me. I was excited to read this book because I felt like I’d be able to connect easily with Emma. My expectations were met from the very beginning. The story was comical and light-hearted as well as deeply thought provoking.
The journey Emma took to find her Jamie Fraser and ultimately herself was so much fun to read. Emma was a deeply human character searching for more than just her perfect man, and by the end of the novel she’d figured that out for herself. It was a wild ride that kept me on the edge of my seat. The scenery described was beautiful and had me longing to book a flight to Scotland to experience it all for myself.
The end of the story ended quite abruptly for me. I would’ve like a few more pages that resolved things a bit more. I also wished the relationship between Emma and her sister Sophia had been a bit more fleshed out. It also wasn’t something that was touched upon at the end of the story. I would’ve liked to know what Emma’s next move was going to be after her journey.

As a huge Outlander and Jamie Fraser fan i was really excited to read this book. It wasn't bad and I enjoyed the layout but something was just missing. i found it underwhleming and predictable. 3/5 stars

Fun story about an American woman who loves the Outlander book so much she moves to Scotland to find her Jamie Fraser.

This was cute. All the events in it were pretty dramatic, and I felt like the author used the most outrageous scenarios to make a plot device, when it really didn't need it. It was predictable, but in a comfortable way that I liked reading.
