Total page turner
I read this book in less than 3 days. It kept me guessing until the end and I absolutely love how it was written from different characters’ perspectives.

I liked this book and it was a pretty quick read, but as I'm thinking about it, a couple of things are bothering me about it. If Dean had decided that Josie was lying to him to distance herself from him in college, why would he be okay with using her as his real estate agent now? It seems like he wouldn't want anything to do with her. And the last chapter, when Dean is married with a child, why would his wife be A-okay with being such good friends with his former fiancee, Haley? Friendly exes is one thing, but that kind of takes it to a whole other level. There were several other things like that which made the story not as good (like Noah being so evil at the end), but overall I thought it was a pretty decent plot, though pretty predictable.
Loved Open House! Full of suspense until the very end. Definitely worth the read!
A so-so mystery. I found the plot to be predictable, and the characters were rather flat. I particularly had a hard time keeping track of the men and the role they played in Emma's life. I didn’t even like Haley much, although she grew on me (sort of) by the end.
I wanted to like this a lot. I was intrigued by the summary and love a good mystery/suspense. However, this book just didn't do it for me. The characters needed more development. I didn't really feel close to any of them. I was wrong about who the killer was, so that was good for me. It wasn't awful, I read it quickly, and it was a kindle first reads so it was free.

I thought I had it figured out. Towards end it was obvious but the plot twist was unexpected. Josie was so jealous it was obvious and that lead me to it. But Noah was something I didn’t expect. It was actually really weird they ended up married.
Lots of Twists and Turns
A solid thriller that gives multiple plausible motives for multiple suspects, and culminating in a twist many won’t see coming.

Happy Reading, friends!
I read and enjoyed We Were Mothers so I was really looking forward to this one. Thrillers haven't been my jam lately, but I love a sister's story. Thankfully, this one is short. Like seriously thank you Katie Sise for not cramming 100 pages more just because you could. This is a fast read that kept me guessing and is a solid mystery.

Ten years ago, Emma McCullough went missing and was never seen or heard from again. It haunts their town and her family especially her sister Haley, who still cannot get over her disappearance and still looking for answers. When a piece of evidence surfaces, the police opens up the investigation. At the same time, Josie, real estate agent and Emma’s best friend, is attacked during her Open House. Suddenly, the connections on these two incidents are enough to unearth those long buried secrets.
The story is told on three point of views with two different timelines. A little bit confusing but once you get the hang of it, you get invested in their story I have lots of questions at the start but things become clear as you go along and the author was able to put things together. There are lots of characters involved that I had a hard time keeping track of them. Most of them are annoying and have motives in Emma’s disappearance and it made me change my mind several times as to who did it.
Overall, I enjoyed this one. If you are looking for mystery and full of friends drama, you might want to pick this up.

A decade ago Emma an art student walks into the woods while attending a party and is never seen or heard of again. Her case still haunts the university and her family. When her bracelet is recently discovered in a ravine, what happens next turns everyone’s life upside down.
Emma’s younger sister Haley suddenly feels hope the appearance of her sisters bracelet will have the police re-examine her sisters case and not just say she ran away.
When Hayley is invited by Emma’s best friend Josie to an open house, Hayley is shocked to find Josie has been stabbed and she’s rushed to the hospital. The police begin to investigate everyone who was at the open house, soon it appears they have a connection to the night Emma disappearance. We have multiple POV past and present as we realize that many of the town people had a reason to want Emma gone.
