Listen, I love Terry Fallis. I’ve read every single one of his books, have seen him speak, fangirled over him signing my book. He is a truly great feminist, a charming man, a lovely speaker.
But, I just couldn’t love this book. Maybe it’s that I couldn’t give two shits for golf. Or maybe how incredibly irritating I found the protagonist, ironically named Adam (ironic because I’ve named my son that, and I find him incredibly irritating at times, too).
If you’re going to try a little Fallis (joke intended), don’t let this be the only one, as I honestly don’t love it the way I do others. Sorry Terry.

I found this book to be a quick read. I really enjoyed this well written book with great characters. This book has it all. I found myself laughing outright.

It took me a little while to get into the rhythm and appreciate the narration style, but the book itself was incredible.

This book was so sweet! The writing style was a little quirky and took me a second to get used to, but it was great. It really is never too late to follow your passions.

I read this book after it was recommended by Ariel Bisset, and I especially felt that it was good timing considering I was working at a golf course and considering getting some lessons. Although this book didn't exactly convince me to pick up golf, it definitely made me think long and hard about how my life path has been influenced by others. The book was not exactly profound but it didn't need to be; a very good read overall!
