Dark, dangerous and dirty are jam-packed into Kresley's newest read. This book made me blush and I loved every second of it. High graphic content within
Kresley Cole can do no wrong.
Fantastic story. Deep, dark, and sexy to the extreme. I was drawn in at the very beginning, and held captivated till the very end. Amazing characters. Vivid storyline. Dirty kinky sex. Yep, loved every bit of it! I can't wait for the next installment!

The Professional follows Natalia who is plucked from her life as a grad student in Nebraska to Russia to meet her mafiya head father. She finds herself inexplicably pulled to his enforced, Sevastyan and finds herself in a world of pleasure she didn't expect.
When I say this book is very 2014 romance coded, I mean that and yet I found that I really enjoyed my time reading this book. Did this have elements from 2014 (such as being so small both hands of the MMC fit around the FMC) that were a little eye roll inducing? Yes. Did I have fun while reading this? Yes.
This book is very much more about the sexual component of their relationship then character development but this still managed to balance the development pretty well. There was a revelation at the end that I wish had come sooner but I still found I really enjoyed Natalia and Sevastyan's relationship. I thought the dynamic was really interesting and I found myself flying through this book when I was reading it.
I would say if you don't like super spicy and spice forward books featuring BDSM, this will not be for you.
If you can overlook how 2014 this book feels, I think it was pretty enjoyable and a very fast read. I can definitely see myself finishing the series as I found this really interesting.
This book is definitely not for those who want little spice. This book had a lot of spice in it but I thought it was pretty well balanced and interesting to read.
I would recommend, if you can overlook the very 2014 feel of this book, to pick this up. I think this is a fast and fun series to read through.

Whelp. Now my bdsm curiosity is piqued…
Good smut to plot ratio with strong (and hot) characters. What more could a girl ask for in a fantasy book?

I made it goal this new year to actually review every book I read in 2023 and (big emphasis on the ‘and’) share them with you guys! So let me tell you about my first read of 2023!
It’s no surprise to anyone that I’m a Kresley Cole stan. The woman could write a grocery list and I probably would read it and have a book hangover from said list—needless to say I was shocked to realize I hadn’t read her mafia series yet when we all know that mafia is my middle name (looking at you fausto).
Ya’ll, THE PROFESSIONAL was a nice little trip down mafia lane with a bit of KC thrown in. Its not bonkers like other mafia romance books out there, but it sets the story and overarching world up nicely for the next two brothers (which I hear their books sit really nicely in the land of bonkers mafia romance!). I would even say that if you are looking to dip your toes into the Mafia romance genre, this one would be an excellent beginner book to jump in with. Kresley held nothing back with these characters both in and out of the bedroom, and honestly, I was here for it. The drama, the tension, and most importantly the sizzling chemistry were things I genuinely couldn’t get enough of.
The only thing that didn’t make this a five star read for me was the fact that I found the FMC to be very repetitive in her reasoning on why she couldn’t be with the MMC—to the point where I felt like it was the same plot action over and over again. In fairness though, one look at Sevaystan and his smirk would also have me repeating the same sentences and actions over and over again. All in all though, this book was a banger beginning and I’m excited to see what happens with Max’s story!

Wow! 5 stars for major hotness! Kresley Cole has stepped it up a notch. Only read this if your significant other is home or u have access to someone or something to put you out of your panty wetting misery-or there will be some serious blue vag!! Don't read this book also if it's that time of the month like I did-so not fun. 4 stars cuz the girl just can't say no to a major dick!
I saw this on Instagram as one of the steamiest books around. While this was extremely steamy, that’s basically all it was. The rest of it was filled with a relationship that had too many problems.
How Natalya kept giving Sevaystan chances was beyond me. He refused to open up about his past. Flat out refused. When it did come out, it wasn’t very climatic. While it was something that was traumatic, it wasn’t shocking because we already know the type of person he is.
“How could I close you out when I never let you in?”
You can’t build a relationship based on sexual desire alone. You have to open up, learn about each other, and see how you match up outside of the bedroom. While I am all for steamy scenes, I need more in a full length romance novel.
While I am intrigued by reading the next book about his brother Maksimilian, I can’t say that I’m in a rush. I am interested in maybe trying her paranormal series. If you’ve read it, let me know if I should give it a shot.

dnf at 4%. Wasn't really liking the dialogue but the way it was written was not for me.
-The first book that Katie read on apple's 'books'.

I'll be honest, I totally forgot what happened in this book. I even forgot the entire storyline and the character's names. But from what I can remember it is really good because it made me purchase scribd. I'll probably reread this in the future and re-write this review.
