I have read most of Ms. Nicholas’ books and have loved them all; but this has to be my favorite of all time.

Caleb & Lexi have been friends for a couple years and help each other out with kids because of their work schedules as a firefighter and ER nurse. They have a routine and co-parent successfully. Both want more but neither have said anything to the other.

Caleb is a fixer. Lexi has always depended on others for help. But some things just can’t be fixed and sometimes you just have to do things for yourself. They both learn that when love is involved it takes compromise to make things work.

Oh and their chemistry is off the charts!!!!!

Love this third book in the Boys of the Big Easy series and cannot wait for the rest!!!

Wow that was an unexpected and hot direction of Lex and Caleb's story to have taken. Liked that is was less all about the kids and more about them and their relationship than previous novels. Looking to the next one and the spinoff series around the Bayou Boys too

This was okay for me. The writing flowed pretty well, and I liked Caleb and Lexi for the most part. I understood Caleb's situation with Shay. I have a son with autism, and the exact same thoughts go through my head too. Lexi was a great mom and nurse, but I'm not sure that I liked Caleb and her together. The fact that she thinks she can't have sex with Caleb without it being dominant was a turn off for me. Don't get me wrong, I love a steamy book, but she acted like she was a former sub or something. It was annoying to read her thoughts over and over about what Caleb should do. I liked the interactions with the group, and with their other friends. There were some pretty good moments in there. The end was sweet, and I thought it was great for these characters.
I voluntarliy reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Sad, sweet, and sexy

Oh man, this one was steamy! I loved every second of Caleb and Lexi’s story, even the times I wanted to hit Caleb, or yell at Lexi. The story was sweet, sad, sexy, and funny, and once again, this author has hit it outta the park.

Once again Erin Nicholas writes a delightful story with fun characters & hot sex scenes!

Caleb & Lexi are a wonderful couple, each with their own issues with trust but not in the usual sense.

Jack & his pockets of food...such a hoot!

The interaction between Stella (Gabe's daughter) & Sawyer (Josh's brother) is a delight!

This newest installment of the Boys of the Big Easy series does not disappoint! This was an amazing story. It was fun, sweet with some unexpected kink and I loved every minute of it.

Erin Nicholas has done a beautiful job with Lexi and Caleb, and their story is a pleasure to read. Their transition from friends/roommates to lovers is both sweet and unbelievably hot, and I loved them as a couple.

I really enjoyed this latest offering in the Boys of the Big Easy series and it definitely is as terrific as the previous books in the series. I cannot wait for the next book in this wonderful series.

OW galore and I spent an Audible credit on it so I forced myself to finish it instead of DNFing. Heroine is a single mom but of course the only other guy she's been with is her son's deadbeat dad. The way the third act played out made this a 2 star read instead of 1.

This book was a bit darker (but not “dark romance”) than the others in the series. These two are completely opposites in personality but not in desire to be together and they had to work through that. They also each had a child that came into their life unexpectedly (hers through unplanned pregnancy and his through the death of a sibling)

So they had some extra struggles to wade through on their path to love and that was nice.

Their sexy times were amazing and unique to them which was fun.

The end felt a shade rushed though. They went from content in a new relationship to getting married six moths later. I don’t know how much more of their romance needed to be told though so that’s hard.

Ryan West —dude you are amazing with the female voice and the drawl and the levels of drawl. Sigh.... lol
