Honestly I was really into the book until they got back from their “honeymoon”. The ending felt rushed and some scenes didn’t even make sense with no real context of why it was added. I mean, I finished it but I wouldn’t be rereading or recommending.

This sweet, and sizzling friends to lovers/fake marriage romance had me laughing out loud, swooning, a little heartbroken at times, but totally falling in love with Locke's story telling. She had my emotions traveling all over the place, but with an entertaining sense of humor and a promise of good things to come! Maddox and Ashley had an instant connection since Maddox rescued Ashley in third grade from the evil gum stuck in her hair. They have been in and out of each other's lives ever since sharing their heartbreak and their laughs. They both have a past that makes them fear they are unworthy of true happiness and love. When Ashley leaves her cheating fiancé, she still wants to go on her dream honeymoon trip. Maddox is so happy Ashley is home, and will not let her rebound with anyone but him. This is something they have both imagined with each other but never dared to ruin their close friendship. They have the best trip filled with fun excursions and steaming hot passion. But what happens when they return home? Can they go back to being friends, or can they take a chance and finally see that they were never a fling but a forever? I fell so hard for Maddox and Ashley and loved them together! They had so much in common, had same sense of humor, and their chemistry was off the charts! I also loved getting to know Maddox's family more who are hilarious, and unconditionally loving and supportive. This fun, emotional and steamy romance is so engaging, and totally addicting! It is pure magic that captured my heart and made me completely happy!

In some ways this is both a slowest-of-slow-burns as well as an insta-love because these two have known each other forever, but weren't ready to cross the line. Until they were. And then they Crossed. The. Line. Wow!
I love all the other characters in this world. Banks is awesome - can't wait for his book!! Foxx is definitely going to have an awesome story - there's something behind that broodiness, you just know it. I suspect even Sara and Rebecca would be great main characters because there are a lot of layers there too.

But - in the event that Ms. Locke reads these reviews - what is the reason for spending the whole book setting us up to just know - KNOW there was something up with Rebecca and then to find out that it was Cord?! What is the reason?? I swear you were just writing this wonderful, sweet, love story and were suddenly overcome with the need to make folks cry a little! I mean, it's heart-warming to know he is loved long after he is gone. But - tissue please! (This is why readers have trust issues no matter how much you love your favorite authors! lol)

When Ashley calls off her engagement after realizing what an a-hole her ex was but there’s only one problem..the honeymoon she paid for in non-fundable. Her friends concoct a little plan for a contest to find someone for her enjoy honeymoon with and end that dry spell..and she doesn’t find out it’s Maddox until he shows up next to her on the plane.
Will this just last while they are on the honeymoon or will it turn in to something more?? You’ll have to read it to find out!

A good book when you need one
This was a pretty good book. It took me alittle longer to read and I think I was stalling because I was afraid that the drama would bring to much heart break. But I'm here to say you will survive so dont put it down just to delay a good ending. I also love that Publix was mentioned can't have a Florida based book with Publix. A must read
