I really love Salukh and Tiffany. I love how Salukh respects Tiffany's boundaries and doesn't push her like the other unmated hunters do. It really shows that he actually cares about Tiffany as a person and not as some prize he has to win. I really didn't like the way the other unmated hunters treated Tiffany and how violent they become towards each other when they don't receive the reaction from Tiffany they want.

With Salukh it's different. Even before Tiffany let's Salukh know what happened to her to cause her bad reactions around the alien men he never pushed her to be with him, he showed compassion and empathy and understood that Tiffany needed more care. And I like how when he does find out what happened to her he protects her from the other guys.

I also really liked be the way that Tiffany and Salukh finally resonate to each other. I love that they get to choose each other before they even know whether they'll be actual mates.

I really enjoy it when the couples get to choose who they want before the actual resonating happens. I feel like it gives the characters more of a chance to connect and bond. And this book gives us that.

Overall this was a really great book in the series. And another one that I'd recommend looking up the trigger warnings for.

Okay so this is probably going to be one of my strangest reviews because I'm giving the book 4-stars but I didn't actually like it that much. I thought it was very slow and boring and I was just not that into it or really enjoying. HOWEVER, I know that that is only because of my personal preferences when it comes to romance books and that this was actually a very well-written book.
This story-line focused on much more serious issues than the previous books in this series and the character development throughout the book was amazing. Basically, Tiffany was SA'ed (never actually occurs on page/described in detail) on the original alien ship and has to deal with her trauma and relearn how to accept love and affection. I thought it was really amazing how Ruby Dixon made sure that Tiffany was healing before she had this other alien come into her life in an intimate way. I think it made so much sense and it's really great that Dixon has made it so the resonance not only finds your perfect physical match, but also waits until each person is emotionally/mentally ready for one another. It's a very deep and heartfelt storyline for a series that is basically alien-porn. You get what you came for, but also so much more.
Again, this type of super lovey-dovey romance just isn't really my thing (which is why I'm so excited for Josie and Haeden's book) but I can appreciate a good book when I read it.

This is one of my favorite Ice Planet Barbarian books. Salukh is so kind and observant and caring. He truly wants to be with Tiffany because she’s Tiffany, and not just because he wants a mate, any mate, or because he wants the “prize” of winning the prettiest girl as his partner. I really felt for Tiffany as the recipient of unwanted male attention that everyone else felt she should find flattering, when in fact it scares her to death, and for good reason. Readers should know going in that Tiffany is struggling with the trauma of sexual assault at the hands of the aliens who kidnapped her. She has nightmares about that event, and while the attack is not depicted in explicit detail it may be triggering for some people.

Ya know, last winter I read 4 of these books back to back and had a thoroughly good time with them, and since then I've read a heckin lot of romance novels so I think my horizons have been broadened enough to have a stronger opinion than I did last year.

These books are a good time, plain and simple. The story is easy enough to follow and the characters are enjoyable, the smut is bangin, the sci fi/fantasy element adds a fun layer to each book without being too complicated to follow, and each book has different character voices so they never feel like the same thing over and over again. While I wouldn't say they're exceptional enough to get me bingeing all... what, 15 of them?... they're an easy fall back and a good introduction to monster smut if that's something a person wants to venture into.

I have read some GARBAGE kindle unlimited romances, and these books definitely have the right amount of hype for them. Just a solid, fun, easy romance to get the people goin
