I am totally in love with this series and so sad to see the end of the series. I've enjoyed every single one of them, reading these guys finding their HEAs.

If you've read the previous books, you'll know this one's Jordie's book, the rookie of the team. He won a bid an auction to one date with the Ice Princess, Harper, his coach's daughter. When he realised that, you'll know it wouldn't go well. But he's always been straightforward and honest, he wasn't expecting his coach to give him the green light to pursue his daughter. However, there's one rule that Harper has followed strictly her adult life, it is to never date players, specifically hockey players. Been there, done that.

Jordie take it upon himself and make it a challenge for Harper to bend that rule. The more time he spend pursuing, wooing and courting her for one date, it turned to more than one date. He felt himself falling for her. Then obviously, there's going to be bumps just when they started to get more serious. You'll just have to read this one

You know what they say when you make plans? Harper made a vow to NEVER date a hockey player. So when she has to dress up as the Ice Hawks Princess at a fundraiser and is auctioned off for a date with the winner, she never saw Jordie coming. Jordie was persistent and didn't let a little thing like the word "no" stop him from relentlessly pursuing Harper. When Jordie is able to show Harper another side of hockey players, I couldn't help but fall in love with him. It was understandable why Harper didn't want to date the guys who basically took her father's attention and constantly moved them around. The experience left her quite jaded.

Both Jordie and Harper learned a few life lessons along their journey to happily ever after. This story was well written and Kendall always does a stellar job at weaving in the characters from the other books in the series. As I read this final installment of the Hot Jocks series, I could help the bittersweet feelings from popping up that this was the last we'd see of the Ice Hawks team and their significant others.

I received an advanced copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

Well this was nice. To be honest this whole series was okay. Nothing amazing but not bad either. The 8 books were pretty sweet and easy to read. I have to say though, I struggled maintaining my attention on this one. It just didn’t excite me as much as the third or forth book (those were my favorites). For the conclusion of the series it kinda felt weak but as a book on its own it was okay. When the bad stuff happened I felt so sad for Jordie, I tear up a bit. I really like him. But the way the conflict was resolved was weird? Like they said stuff and then they were moving together? Uh... I genuinely thought I skipped pages or something lol. So yeah, I’m pretty sure I won’t be re-reading the series but I’m still glad I read them. They were super light and sweet.

This isn’t by far my favourite book in the series but I loved it because the group/family dynamic they all have! I love reading books like this were the series is a companion and you get to see everyone grow and bond throughout the books. Loved this series.

Perfect way to end the series

Started the reading the book and it was GREAT, but moving got in the way and I kind of fell off, but today I picked up the audiobook and lets just say its almost six and a half hours long... I finished it exactly six and a half hours after I started it. (No I did not let my class work or even my doctors appointment get in my way).

I am however very sad that this series has come to an end. I am really excited for Kendall's new work so ill def keep my eye out for those :D

Jordie's story was worth the wait! Taking His Shot is the final book in the Hot Jocks series, can be read as a stand alone, but it's more enjoyable if read in order. I've been looking forward to Jordie's story throughout this series and have admired him from the sidelines, while he played supporting characters to the other guys. I loved this book and will definitely be revisiting their story again soon. The entire series is on you'll want to binge-read and share with friends!

Another great book in the Hot Jocks series! I loved Jordie and Harper together, they’re so cute! Things were going too well with 30% left, and then it suddenly hit me what would happen. I would’ve loved a bit more on page grovelling but Jordie’s way of fighting for her was too cute!
