“Why do you think the goddess of darkness gifted me with horns on my head, if not for beautiful women like yourself to hold on to while they sit on my face?”

This book is a part of a 3 part book collaboration called Horned up for the Holidays! If you’re interested in a lumberjack romance then this book is for you. Azgoran and Holly come from two different lives with one being a lumberjack and one being a teacher. Their relationship begins to develop throughout the book and Holly is able to connect more with Az and you can find some friendly banter between the two. Check trigger warnings before you read!

This is the second book I read for the Winter Bliss series. We meet the new characters, Az and Holly, as well as start to see the interconnected events and people between the two stories. Holly’s trip to Winter Bliss goes from good to bad to worse and somewhere in middle of bad to worse, she meets Az, the demon groundskeeper. This is a snowed in setting with grumpy/sunshine goodness. I loved the back and forth between them, with his gruff responses to her non-stop sharing. And once they finally open up to each other, (consider this a small slow burn), THAT’S when the spice kicks in. It’s the knowledge of each other’s vulnerabilities that makes this good. I’ll keep the rest under wraps because this story is a ride! But one last thing, if you want to get lumberjacked, make sure to pick this up. Enjoy your stay at Winter Bliss!

I think this one is my fave of the trilogy, just due to the suuuuper sweet character dynamic between the little Holly and big tough lumberjack Azgoran (who is actually so so soft and adorable and caring (and warm)). I also liked that it included some unique spicy scenes (like roleplay, although it was short, was sweet!).

As a note I’ll include in the other two reviews:
I love how the characters interconnect with the other two books in the trilogy, and matches a very similar vibe although they have different authors!

love the whole grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, size difference but the writing was off to me at some points. sometimes it felt like it just told us what happened without guiding through it if that makes sense

Cute, sweet, and spicy with deep emotions! Holly just wants to be alone for Christmas. She's recently divorced and has lost her person- her mother in law who has been the only mother figure she's ever known. Her friends are not understanding why she's mourning this loss, so she chooses to escape to a luxury cabin to be all alone. Plot twist- it's neither luxurious nor is she all alone. The lumberjack demon caretaker, Az, is also there. He's grumpy, unfriendly and also wants to be alone. Together they're able to release a lot of what they're feeling and also discover a connection that neither can fight. Their chemistry is scorching!! I loved not only the mental health representation but also the whole message of it being ok to take care of yourself first. Such a spicy story with a heartfelt message!

I'm becoming obsessed with this quaint town and it's quirky townfolks! Great characters, the location Lark has written is fun and unique. I look forward to Samite's story next!
