there’s a reason this took so long so finish lol. i just feel like the plot details were kind of everywhere and super random. and like everything felt so surface level. then the last chapter was literally like “and here is the answer to the mystery!” and it just ended (so cringe btw) but i mean i kept reading so whatever

Wow, wow, wow. This is a novel filled with heartache, suspense, lies, and deep dark secrets.

Lee is a single mother to Mason who is on the Spectrum. (I love this kid by the way, so fun and of course reminds me of my son on the Spectrum). He has a home occupational therapist named Noah who plays a big role. Her best friend Grace convinces her to come with her and some other friends on a girl's weekend. Someone won't come back alive.

After the accident, I started to try and find out the truth behind the story. I had an idea and once that flipped over and wasn't right, I then knew a part of the end. But it still had my heart in my throat to see where the end of the book would take us and there is shock galore.

This novel was explosive in events, secrets and lies. Once you got a grip on the secret, another would surface. I could never be sure of what I was reading but I'll tell you this much, it was spectacular!
Four women decide to go on an all girls trip one weekend. They are all good friends and could use the time away to relax and unwind. On this trip one of them dies. No spoilers here because you find this out in the prologue. How did she die? Well that you will have to read to find out.
I love me an awesome thriller and this one takes the cake.

With a prologue with a tragic death, it was easy to get into this book and earn to know more and from beginning to end I couldn't put it down and read in a few sittings all in one day! A group of four women go on a girls trip and one dies during the trip. Within this group of four are two single moms who value each other's friendship more than anything.

With secrets and a prologue this book had the beginnings of a book that would drive me crazy BUT the secrets are revealed less than half way through and the prologue's hints come soon after and then the second half of this book is the what happens after AND I loved that. I love when "shit hits the fan" and then you get the story afterwards.

A group of friends decide to go away for the weekend and one of them ends up dead. The story starts out with a fall and the reader continues to tumble through the many twists and turns throughout the story.
This story has many surprises and a shock towards the end. I greatly enjoyed this story. It was never quite what it seemed.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of the book.

The story is told from the points of view of single mother Lee, who we know is dead very early in the book, her best friend Grace, and Noah, tutor and therapist of Mason, Lee's son. We know that something horrible and fatal happened on a retreat that included Lee, Grace, and their two close women friends. The story thing goes back over the last forty eight hours, as we find out what led up to Lee's death.

At lot of improbable things have to occur for this story to even happen the way it does so at times I had to hold down my tendency to roll my eyes. Still, I couldn't help wanting to know what was going on in this book because it was easy for me to tell that Lee had stability problems that might be making her on-the-spectrum son's problems worse, we know Grace has a secret that she's not telling at the moment, and Noah is holding something back, also. Grace seemed to let every little thing stop her from blurting out her very important secret that she knew would upset Lee, while Lee was trying to push a relationship on to Noah, when he was obviously not interested in a relationship with Lee. Both Lee and Noah allude to shameful secrets in their pasts while Grace seems to have her life mostly in control, just holding in her secret that she knows will probably destroy her relationship with Lee.

The entire time, we aren't sure who is telling the truth and even if the person relating their point of view is telling US the truth. There is at least one unreliable narrator in this story, along with facts withheld for the shock value later in the book. Overall I enjoyed the ride, especially if I didn't stop and think about things too closely.

Thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for this ARC.

Amazing! This story, with all it's twists and turns, is absolutely amazing!

I knew there were going to be twists. And secrets. And lies. I knew someone was going to end up being the bad guy, or gal. As I got deeper and deeper into the story, my idea of who that bad person was going to be kept shifting. It got so I didn't trust hardly anyone's story. But there were are so may likable characters, I didn't want any of them to be bad.

Because You're Mine is definitely a book that will keep you up late as you try to figure it out. And then the ending. Boom! Did not see that coming. Totally fooled me! And I was suspicious from the get-go and I still got sucked in.

Put this high on your TBR list, you really need to read it!
