Fun short story that leads up to the book Fallout. It was quick enough for me to read on lunch with time left to spare and me wanting more. For anyone who is not familiar with the world of Superman the story wouldn't have much meaning but for other it is fun read but not completely cannon.

Not sure whether to give this a two or three stars as this is a novella, so this affect rating system for me.

I was given this for review from publishers via NetGalley in exchange for honest review.

This is a short story about Lois Lane, before she moved to the big city of Metropolis. In this, Lois has to deal with some bad chemistry. In more ways than one.

Now, this is a sneak peek, a short story, and it was a short and fun story. A bit addictive as well. It updated and "rebooted" Lois and I like this Lois. She did things herself, not waiting to be rescued. She rescued and saved the day herself.

However, there is something about this that I didn't like. I can't put my finger on it, but there is something that made me go "Are they rebooting Lois because she's an interesting character that demands her own series, or are DC Comics rebooting her to be their version of "Marvel's Agent Carter" and milk that cash cow dry?". I questioned the publishers reasoning behind this and that's never a good thing.

But am intrigued over this series - shame it doesn't have a UK publisher to my knowledge - and will await people's reactions to the first book in the series,[b:Lois Lane: Fallout|23110163|Lois Lane Fallout (Lois Lane, #1)|Gwenda Bond|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1418907660s/23110163.jpg|42657804].

This was a pleasant introduction to teenage Lois Lane. Short and sweet it gave a real feel for the character and would definitely make me excited to read the full-length novel (if I hadn't already done so and loved it).

I hadn't yet read the first short story when I read this, so I feel like I was ill-prepared. I like the hints of former DC characters in this, but I wished it would have had more of Lois. Then again, it was very well done for twenty pages. I'm excited to read Fallout!

The title is pretty cheesy but the story was just as entertaining as the first. I can't wait for the second book!

My review of [b:Lois Lane: Fallout|23110163|Lois Lane Fallout (Lois Lane, #1)|Gwenda Bond|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1418907660s/23110163.jpg|42657804].

This can also be downloaded for free at Switch Press's page.

This, along with "A Real Work of Art", is a quick and dirty introduction to teenager Lois Lane. As a massive fan of Lois Lane: Fallout, I would recommend this short story to anyone before reading the novel.

This was a delightful short story coming as a prequel to Gwenda Bond’s upcoming YA, LOIS LANE: FALLOUT.

It follows a young Lois Lane as she tries to deal with science class, moving around, and kids who must have lost their common sense at some point. The story itself is entertaining and packs a punch, but, perhaps more importantly, it gives us character we’ll all want to be reading more about.

I mean, let’s be honest: Lois Lane? Teenager years? Developing reporter?

I was here for this since forever.

(Also, smallvilleguy? Yes, hello.)

What I’m trying to say is: Get your hands on this short story, so we can all be miserable together as we wait for FALLOUT to come out.

.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This short story was kindly provided to me via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I started this not knowing that this is a teaser/ novella for Lois Lane: Fallout. I just found out when I am about to post a review here in Goodreads.

Even though it's just 17 pages, I got intrigued with Lois Lane. She's smart and really a kick-ass gal, not your typical damsel in distress. This short story though doesn't really focus on Lois, but it focus on a couple she is classmates with in her chemistry class who is apparently about to broke up. This guy wants to prove his worth to his girlfriend but he ends up proving how dumb he is. So Lois took an action and saves the day. :D

Looking forward on reading Lois Lane: Fallout.

Rating: 3 stars

As a teaser to Bond's [b:Lois Lane: Fallout|23110163|Lois Lane Fallout (Lois Lane, #1)|Gwenda Bond|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1418907660s/23110163.jpg|42657804], a book I am eagerly awaiting, this short story gives a glimpse into the mind of Lois Lane and what her relationship with her online friend, Smallvilleguy, is like. What I am anticipating the most for the full length novel, and what Lois Lane: Cloudy With a Chance of Destruction delivered, is a girl with an affection for science and a retelling of a superhero comic.
