What a Romance...

I enjoyed every piece of this!! what a good quick read and such a sweet ending . It gives such a hallmark feel and was everything I wanted for a Holiday read. Even with the grieving it was the right amount of realistic sad and I met a stranger joy

This book started off so promising. A cute little holiday romance with unexpected love during a whirlwind week… but it got clunky, repetitive, and had the nerve for the tension point to be “I’ve only known this man for a week and how dare he not expose all of his business to me including the house he shared with his late wife”?! Like really?! That’s why we mad?! I can think of at least three alternative directions the author could’ve taken this would’ve flowed so much better. Also, there were things mentioned and just dropped that makes me question what was the point of emphasizing it if we weren’t going to circle back to it. For example, him ordering and reading one of her books was continuously emphasized early on in the book. The last thing we read about that was he made it to chapter six and then it was just dropped. As simple as that seems, that was a missed opportunity of connection within the book had he finished and there was a scene with them discussing it. Overall, I just couldn’t get over the repetition and the way the storyline just fell flat.

"i expose all 32 of my teeth displaying my pleasure at his quickness." is a real phrase in this book.

"heavenly rod" is also another real phrase in this book. and yes, it is describing exactly what you think it is. these phrases are used back to back.

I loveeeed it

I loved the storyline, the spice & the effortless love story around the holiday season! Perfect for a winter read!

Kind of cringe at points. It was taking me long to get through and I realize it’s because I wasn’t that into it. Didn’t care enough to just finish it.

This was a really nice read. I only have one major critique and honestly it’s that I felt like sometimes the descriptions were explaining the most mundane stuff that really wasn’t necessary. It kind of droned on at points and I skipped some paragraphs because of it which I usually don’t do
