It was a slow start, but it did get better as it went along. Interesting premise, and I like the alternating focuses of the chapters. I was not much of a fan of the way that the emphasized words were underlined in the narrative instead of being italicized, but I got used to it.

I'll admit, this book had started of on a slow pace...... but immediately somewhat halfway through, it picked up, especially as I'd grown to love the characters.  It mostly focused on Cliff Iverson (who is the reason we know about McM), which gave me the idea that he was the mc, but then the story shifted to Gemma and Doria (Doria who became my favourite because of how truly intelligent she was)

But this book was so amazing. The characters, their developments and the plot was just on point. The fact that I'd wanted to cry when it was time for our beloved characters to depart McM said enough. Greatly recommend 10/10.

Fun and enjoyable quirky book, nothing super enlightening or jaw dropping, but I enjoyed it. Love all of the anti-capitalism realness.

As always, I love a book with a map & the description of McMasters sounds idyllic.

This was a funny book and I laughed out loud at times. However, it felt very one-note-ish - like all the same tone and voice. I appreciated the wry humor and the wit of the writing, and I appreciated the devious nature of the characters' plotting and of the characters themselves. But when the book was done, it was enough.
