Bourbon and Secrets is a romantic suspense full of mystery, secrets and twists and turns. Faye and Lincoln brought the banter, the tension and all of the heat. I could not get enough of these two. Add in Lincoln’s two precocious girls and protective family, it’s impossible not to fall in love with these characters and be intrigued by the story.
Megan Wicks and Lee Samuels perform this book in duet narration. Megan portrayed Faye’s sassy and protective nature perfectly. Lee does a great job of portraying the protective single dad Lincoln. These two perfectly fit these characters and brought the to life from the page to your ears.

I’M SO OBSESSED WITH THIS SERIES!
The way Victoria weaves the threads of her stories together is super appealing to me and then she hits you with an unexpected plot twist and I’m even more obsessed!
Just as with Bourbon & Lies, we get an immediate flashback of events that happened involving Lincoln Foxx that sets the stage for his and Faye Calloway’s before jumping forward to the present.
Victoria gives us another strong heroine insistent in protecting those she loves regardless of what she has to give up in the process and this is another aspect of her stories I love! We still get a spicy HEA with a hot book boyfriend but it comes with a bada$$ heroine versus the damsel in distress that needs rescuing.
A highlight of this story was getting to know more about Lincoln’s kiddos, Lark and Lilly! They are an adorable hoot and added some amazing lighthearted and endearing moments amongst all the characters. The nod to “A League of Their Own” was a special one for me and I loved the addition of that little nugget.
This narration was flawless!! As a first-time Megan Wicks listener I can tell you she could not have been more perfectly cast to play Faye. Her voice was sultry perfection - ideal for portraying the sexy and mysterious burlesque dancer.
It’s been a minute since I’ve listened to Lee Samuels and dang if he wasn’t the perfect sexy single dad as Lincoln! He has a wonderfully natural deep timbre that never sounds forced or overdone. To me his voice sounds commanding, soothing and safe.
Bourbon & Secrets joins its predecessor as a 2025 Top Audiobook pick for me and I highly recommend! NOW I’M BEGGING YOU, GIVE ME A HADLEY AND ACE AUDIO TEASER TO TIDE ME OVER! 🙏

This book has it all, suspence, slow burn, spice and a hot single dad with glasses.
It was even better on audio. Megan is the perfect sultry and seductive Faye and I loved the chemistry between her and Linc.

You feel like you are in the story while reading, the description of the characters, the suroundings and how everything smells, it is so well written.
I loved Linc’s playfullness in bourbon and Lies but fell for him in this book. There is something so sexy about a guy being a good girls dad and family man.
I love the way both Linc and Faye care for the people they love.
Their chemistry was undeniable but their relation grew in a beautiful and believable way with a lot of spice in perfect balance with the story.
I can’t decide which brother is my favorite but I think I will decide after reading Ace’s story, because all three Foxx men are hot!!! And I fell in love with their women too.

I must be in my single dad era, cause this is another one that hits all the right single dad spots! Lincoln Foxx just became my new favorite dad! I absolutely adored this book. Faye & Lincoln together? YES YES and YES. Faye has a past full of secrets, Lincoln has a grumpy heart that's soft only for his girls, Lily & Lark.....until Faye enters the picture. The chemistry that ignites between them is absolutely incredible. Add in the suspense, bourbon scenes, banter, the entire Foxx family and this book is one of my top favs!
Megan Wicks is a new to me narrator and I absolutely adored her performance of Faye. Her voice captured all of the emotions beautifully! Lee Samuels is another go to narrator for me. I LOVED this in print and I absolutely devoured the audiobook! I could not stop listening and was so stunned by Megan Wick and Lee Samuel’s performances!! They bring not only these two to life, but the whole family.🥰
Victoria does such an amazing job writing this story and the narrators bring them to life FLAWLESSLY!!

started falling in love with Faye Calloway on the edge of a cornfield, on a stage, over a bottle of bourbon, even when it’s obvious she wasn’t being truthful and holding secrets.
Secrets he intended to find out ever since her return after he told few years ago to leave and never come back .. after all he had his daughters safety in mind and now he’s feeling all protective over the sassy Faye Rose Calloway!

Returning to the one place she never thought she would as a burlesque dancer certainly brings things full circle, especially when she tells herself it’s for her sister and not her feelings for the gorgeous glasses wearing single dad Lincoln Foxx.. the same guy she didn’t hesitate putting in danger in the past … the same guy who told her to leave and never return .. the same guy she couldn’t stop thinking about.
Now she’s certain that her coming back and being around not just him,but his two daughters isn’t a good idea.. because of what she’s hiding in her past. And future.
Unbeknownst to Linc and his family Faye is hiding the real reason for her return even when they showed her ..kindness.
But as secrets begin to unravel, Faye becomes fiercely protective of not just her sister but of Linc and his beautiful daughters.
When she puts herself in danger to right the past, the only thing that matters is will she be able to find her way back to a life she desperately wanted.
This audiobook was amazingly narrated by two very talented narrators, Lee Samuels and Megan Wicks who totally outdid themselves in this audiobook that had me intrigued.
My only take away is that I find it hard connecting Linc and Faye chemistry.
It was a bit of struggle, also getting through much of the whiskey making process.
But all on all it was a solid listen.
I however enjoyed the banter and dynamics between the MMC his family especially his daughters.
I was also intrigued by the suspense and mystery surrounding Faye her family and the rest of characters in this book.
*Please note that I went in blind as this was my first listen of author and book in series.
But Definitely recommend listening this incredible narration of this romantic suspense with banter filled moments, filled with bourbon infused spice in between!

I was kept on my toes while still enjoying this hate-to-love story. I'm usually not a big fan of the single dad trope, but I loved every moment of this one.
Faye is an empowering badass who helps in the liberation of one's body, while Lincoln is a lesson in patience and trusting again.
I really liked the banter between the characters and how they win each other over with time. It also highlights the dynamics between people when secrets and misunderstandings are kept, helping to create this heavy atmosphere that lingers in the background of the book for most of it.
It was so good to see again the characters from the previous book, without making a book 2 about them. The full cast of background characters is diverse and all bring to the story, adding depth and complexity to an already tense-packed story.
