This book has had a bigger positive impact on my health than nearly anything else I've tried. Yoga, Acupuncture, and this book. God has given us all we need to be healthy. This book reveals curative properties of whole foods and suggests how to incorporate Eastern tradition into our American lives. Fabulous. Not only has it helped me change my diet, it has become my go-to medical reference.

This is THE authoritative tome on whole foods coupled with Traditional Chinese Medicine.

It is information-dense reference material, while still being highly readable. Yes it is on my nightstand.

There's no way in hell I have read this book front to back, but it is an awesome reference, and I refer to it whenever I need a good kick in the ass to take care of myself.

This my favorite reference for nutrition and food-as-medicine questions, but I also found it compelling enough to read all 750 pages a few years ago. I've never been excited enough by the recipes in the back to try many, but otherwise this is an excellent and thorough book.
