This book was a constant emotional roller coaster for me. I absolutely loved it. I did not at all expect that the girls were going to be arrested for Tabitha’s murder. It was so well thought out. We finally got some answers and a conformation that Alison is ALIVE!!!

More like 3.5 stars.

Okay so I guess I lied a couple of books back about how she could never make me feel sorry for these girls, cause damn did this book really put them through the ringer. I was so excited when they FINALLY went to the police, but then of course that blew up in their face. The A helper reveal did a lot to make me feel bad for them as well, because sure at the end of the day they made their own decisions, but he kind of lead them to those decisions. Total entrapment. And yay for the confirmation of alive Ali, but boo for the police not believing. (Really it's easier to believe that all 4 girls hallucinated the exact same thing than that the girl who once tortured them and whose body was never found is at it again? Excellent police work.)

Oh and Emily's family SUCKS! At least the other girls each had someone. Emily should never talk to them again, but of course she will. Because just like the family magically became accepting of her being gay, I'm sure in the next book they'll be all about her again. My biggest complaint about Shepard is her characterization.

As usual, the girls frustrated me a lot getting involved in things they shouldn't (but that's basically the whole series, right?)

The plot has its good parts and has its bad and unbelievable parts.

Although this book was a fairly good read, I'm glad I'm almost at the end of this series. In saying that, I'm really keen to see how it winds up.

AAAHHH SO GOOD😭😭 these past 3 books are top tier, who would’ve thought (not me)
I do hate Emily though but I’m almost a hundred percent certain that’s the point yk that you’re NOT supposed to like her so all good (also her getting me to scream internally at her did add flavour to the book haha)

I really really loved this one, definitely one of the best of the series... finally 'A' is getting closer to the four girls. I'll need to hold my anxiety about reading the last two books too quickly.
And for the complainers about this "long series", they are just books around 300 pages with a huge line space, you don't know a really long series with a super old close to death writer who release a new book every two-three years, if you're lucky xDDD

Terrible. Terrible terrible until maybe the last 30 pages when there was an actually half-decent, slightly interesting plot twist. For maybe 10 pages, when it became incredibly trite once again. And of course, led on to yet more sequels... I want it to end.
I think one of the things I hate the most about these is how awful the parents are, both as parents and how they treat their daughters so badly. Especially Emily's parents. Drah-ma.

I've read that the next book in the series is the last one and I sincerely hope that it is. The first few books were very interesting and I'm still loving the TV series but after the first arc the books have gotten ridiculous.

I still love Spencer, Aria, Hanna and Emily but the last few books have made them look like complete idiots and so did the beginning of this book. But then they finally did what I've been waiting forever for them to do: contact the police. Yeah it doesn't really help them much at first but can you imagine if they would've done that back before the baby/art theft/drunk driving/drug use? Life would have been so much simpler! But nope the girls just act like confused preteens instead.

I did like the reveal of who helper A was. It was both a surprise and something I expected so that was nice. I just hope Shepard has the girls really fight back and play it smart in the next book which is hopefully the last.
