honestly one of my favourite books of this year so far and a guarantee that I’ll start to read more madeleine miller titles.
despite not knowing a lot about greek mythology and the already existing stories i thoroughly enjoyed following circe on her journey and one thing i love the most is how layered she is. she’s not a perfect heroine by all means and all the guilt, anger and longing she feels i think was executed perfectly. i also loved how her journey managed to tie in with other greek myths that i already know of such as odysseus and the minotaur and I thought it was very interesting to see them from her perspective.
overall a wonderful read and i would definitely recommend it to anyone!!

A wonderful telling of Circe’s life dealing with love, divinity vs humanity, obstacles faced as a woman and finding her place in their cruel world. The dialogue and thoughts she has are insightful and I truly admire her ability to learn from every event she experienced, without losing herself. Littered with lovely quotes, of which I’ve probably highlighted half the book, I loved this from beginning to end.

no tenía expectativas ningunas sobre este libro pero he de decir que me ha encantado! me ha costado terminarlo ya que me ha pillado en un bloqueo lector de una semana o así pero en si el libro, la forma en el que está escrito, la historia, los personajes, cómo te hace sentir y todo 10/10! estoy deseando empezar con la canción de aquiles!!
