Not my favorite book by J. Lynn. I like her fantasy romance much much more. I think this is a 3.5 star book. I love Jennifer's story telling ability and this dealt with some really serious issues, but it was just really sappy and trite sometimes and I wish it wasn't so predictable! I'll go back to my fantasy books lol

this was a fun time - nothing more and nothing less. because i did enjoy reading it and a handful of moments were very heartfelt, i just might continue on with this series. when that’ll be idk. i do know that i didn’t like the writing and multiple parts of the storytelling. however, seeing as i went into this book just looking for some lighthearted entertainment, i was able to appreciate it for what it was

Seriously LOVED this book! Oooooh Cam Hamilton. Yum, yum, yum. It's nice to see a new trend of nice boys, instead of the bad boys in books. Can't wait to see what happens in the next book with Cam's sister, Theresa.

FANTASTIC!!! I'm really liking this New Adult genre. I find that a lot of the stories are kind of similar in a sense but they all have leading female character that has gone through something "world altering" and they find themselves becoming stronger after the event while finding themselves in their college career, then they find this boy who wants to fix everything, and has usually gone through something "world altering" as well. But the boy lets the girl do what she needs to do and tries to help and stay out of the way at the same time... and to be honest, I kind of love that.

This book reminds me of another book I read with some similar "world altering" incidents on both parts of the male and female character. But the stories themselves are so different it is in no way like reading the same book.

I love that Cam is this heartwarming character that has you completely face palming when Avery says no to his ridiculous attempts asking her out. I love the characters and the story, the craziness and the happiness... This book it a must read!

3.4 stars. This was a difficult book to enjoy for me. The story is based on a young woman's difficulty dealing with her past and how it is effecting her present. Something horrible happened when she was just 14 and it left her shattered. It is worse than just the event. The people who should have been there, the support she should have had were all absent. She was bullied, humiliated and isolated from hope. She never recovered never moved past it, she cowered behind it. She could stay in her box of pain and self loathing, except she meets somebody who she wants to be more for. He is wonderfully open, flirty, sexy and wants to have something with her. The painful reality of a relationship here is bittersweet.
Reading this story I was irritated by her constant sabotage to her own happiness. It was conflicting and painful, I understood her why's, but I wanted her to be more. I wanted some super human response not a realistic one. This story could be any of us, this could be my daughter, my friend.. : ( I'm just not good at these realistic heartbreaking stories. My heart hurt and I don't enjoy that. It was well written, I love this authors work just not this story.

Love you Cam!

Avery is a teenager that has been through a lot, that caused her to be insecure and shy. She was a very popular girl and all was taken from her because of a stupid boy that didn't want a No for an answer. She was pretty stupid also for trying to do woman things when she was actually a teenager and she should have live a healthy life not an addicted one.
When she was older she grew some pants and decided that her life had to change and even though she did some childish decisions, she learned from her mistakes.

Avery's parents... Her mom was a selfish bitch and his dad was wipped. They should have stand for her daughter and fight against the Blaine. Its very important for a girl feeling the security a family gives you because, specially at that age, we are lost and we don't know everything. We are naive and reckless.

Molly was behaving really bad with Avery, she tried to convince her it was her fault she was raped. Which it has logic but even though she knew Avery had no option, she still hated her. I think she's evil and cruel because of what she lived, and has no one to blame but Avery, not even Blaine.

Cam is the bomb. He has the full packager but the only problem is that even though he tries to understand Av, he need to be more patience. He does it most of the times, but the situations that she needed him, he wasn't there and that hurt her so bad. *Those eyes*

The best friend everybody wishes is Brit. She's funny and bold, even though a little too open-minded for me. But she's courageous and supportive, which is perfect for Avery. Because she helps Avery in her decisions.

Jacob. Fabulous. Hot. Sassy. ;)

Ollie could have been a great alternative for Av because he's really funny and crazy, but I prefer him with Brit because they seem like they need each other.

Blaine Fitzgerald. As*h*le.

I like the story but it was missing something. I enjoy reading it so I gave it 4.5 / 5 stars :D
That ending though...

THANK YOU

⭐️⭐️⭐️

The writing made me feel like I was brain dead.

So cliche, so stupid, so angsty - so I fucking inhaled that shit even though I’ve probably read a thousand Wattpads like this.

I hate the name Cameron.

Every side character felt so artificial and their character had no depth.

Cameron’s reaction in chapter 39? Uncalled for, let the girl speak you dumb fuck.
