This is like one of those undergraduate essays where the student has not come all term but thinks a mix of google and enthusiastic platitudes will get them a B. There is always a lot of surprise when it’s an F

Great read if you’re married/ thinking of marriage/ divorced and are able to create space for reflection and accountability. The author uses his own divorce as a catalyst for illustrating how a marriage can end and what the readers should be aware of and consider in order to avoid patterns that often lead to a relationships demise.
This book helped me recognize patterns my ex as well as myself were conforming to that led to the inevitable destruction of our relationship. Excellent advice for future relationships as well, even if you aren’t perusing a marriage.

This book is excellent, if read early enough to prevent massive resentment from building up!

Pretty repetitive, apparently he really wanted to make sure you got the point. Didn't really learn anything new. Most of it was me internally saying "duh". I'm glad he made this journey for himself but holy shit some of the things he did and thought is really shitty. Surprised his marriage lasted that long honestly.

I am *not* ok. Fuck.
This book….it tore me open. I am so raw and vulnerable right now.
I feel like I was highlighting almost the whole book.
So many emotions I’m feeling and there’s no where for them to go.

Some good points, but longer than it needed to be and repetitive.
