The first 2.5 chapters are very good, but the rest of the book turns into a platform for the author’s religious beliefs. In the acknowledgments section, he thanks the person who got him to start doing ketamine because the drug trips are what made him edit the book to be more about spirituality.

Richard Schwartz is a bit pretentious, but IFS is a really interesting theory that can be really helpful. A bit similar to narrative externalizing, this book offers a range of exercises that are great for self-help seekers and therapists.
