I didn't like the conclusion to the series as much as the first two books. Seemed like the author had a lot to say but not enough time to say it. I did not like how Keira's story arc changed so fast from the end of book 2.
when she just forgives Destiny/J for killing like 20 women and very nearly herself, her best friend AND Mount. Ruined her character completely. I get mental health, but come on!

I really didn’t know if this series was going to be for me - being held captive isn’t typically my lit kink of choice (not shaming, just not my go-to). But oh man did I fall hard got Lachlan & Keira! This book has more plot to it than I felt Defiant Queen did, while still being flaming hot. Can’t remember if there’s a TW list at the front, but read it if there is!

When Sinful Empire landed on my kindle, that same heart pounding nervous, excited energy that Defiant Queen gave me returned in full force. A couple pages in and I knew I was in for a ride I never want to end. Sinful Empire is a sexy, exhilarating, action packed conclusion to pretty fantastic trilogy. I absolutely LOVED it! Make sure you have book 1 and 2 on hand because if you are anything like me, you're going to want to reread the entire trilogy the second you reach the last period.
Can I tell you how impressed and in awe I am with Meghan March's characters? She has this incredible ability to grow and develop a character. Lachlan Mount in book 1 is so completely different from book 3. I don't want to say he's softer because let's be honest here, there is nothing soft about that man. He's just more open in his relationship with Keira. He is also now someone with more to lose.Which actually may make him here more dangerous. You don't mess with something that belongs to Mount. I fell more and more in love with him as the story went on. His fierce protectiveness and the heart he claims not to have won me over big time.
I'm completely obsessed with this series. It is nothing short of perfection. Amazing characters. A story that continuously builds. Surprises and twists I never could have predicted. And of course, tons of sexiness. I highly highly recommend this book/this series!! Meghan March is one of my favorites for a reason. The woman always delivers.

Just when you take a breath knowing the main characters are safe, a twist in the story comes out of nowhere.
Book three is when we finally see the two main characters come together as a team. And more than just a team but.. Love. Romance. And equal relationship.
“I am no longer a prisoner. I am the consort to the king.”
We get more of Lachlan‘s past. And the whole storyline just finally comes together in this book. I thought it was beautifully paced, it kept me engaged reading completely through, and it had just enough spice.
HEA guaranteed.
I would like to see a storyline between V and Odile in the future. There’s something about these two that I would just one click their book for!

A fantastic finish to Meghan’s epic trilogy!!! I read Sinful Empire in one day. I literally couldn’t put it down! It picks up right where Defiant Queen left off. This book is everything! I have loved every minute of reading Mount and Kiera’s story and I’m sad to see it come to an end. Mount is still the alpha male with a huge heart and I’m glad that he is opening up more. Kiera is still as headstrong as ever and the two of them together are pure happiness! This is a must read trilogy and books need to be read in order. I absolutely can’t wait to see what Meghan releases next!

Impressive plot twist snuck in - totally unexpected. I really enjoyed this series and it was quite well written. I'll definitely start the Savage series soon
