I didn't enjoy Bittersweet Always as much I enjoyed the first book, it was just as ansgty maybe more so, it was true to the characters but I don't know it just didn't fully work for me. I think it was mainly because of the hero he had good qualities but there were times I just wanted to shake him. However I'm still looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

This book broke me! It had me crying. I ached for Toby and his struggles. I just wanted to hug the poor boy. And Pippa and her just trying to be there for him after her past and then having to put herself first .

A rollercoaster of emotion , but the best kind of ride

Mental illness is something that some of us battle every day. I am one of those. Nobody knows what it is like to be ruled by it unless you have first hand experience. Toby has a heart of gold, and falls hard for Pippa and she falls for him. But Toby battles mental illness. It's a true test of a warrior to recognize it and seek help. It takes something traumatic to do that. I could relate to Toby on so many levels as well as Pippa. It is hard to put what goes on in our minds into words, but Ella did brilliantly. This books has many ups, downs, wtf's, whoas, and whaaaats? But I wouldn't have it any other way. Nothing in a book I love more than feeling like you are a part of the story, that you know the characters. Books that evoke emotions. Ella is a new to me author, and I love this series. Can't wait to read her other work!

After I read Suddenly Forbidden, I made a vow to read every book Ella Fields decides to write. That story gave me the feels the way few others do, and quite simply, it blew me away. Even the secondary characters had an impact on me. I needed to know their story, and I was ecstatic when I found out I was going to get it.

Pippa's life was greatly affected by her father's mental illness. The last thing she would ever want for herself is to fall in love with a man like him, but that's exactly what she does. Is Toby worth the risk?

Toby and Pippa's journey has lots of ups and downs. It's raw, real, and emotional. The pain the characters experience hit me right in the heart. I understood their struggle, and I rooted for them the whole way through. If you are someone that suffers from mental illness or love anyone that does, I think you will empathize even more with the characters.

Bittersweet Always is beautifully written, heartbreaking, and heartwarming all at once. The romance is intense, and the story is captivating. If you're a fan of the author or contemporary romance in general, I recommend this one to you!

Heartbreaker. Oh Toby. He had so many ch going on. I am really glad that this book took a look at mental illness and didn’t have him “fixed” in a chapter. He struggled and messed up and almost lost everything. He also easy able to repair all of her s mistakes in a few chapters.
Pip was funny and real and just so devastated. Having a parent who was struggling with his mental illness left her raw and Toby flayed her open.
I really hope Callum gets a book because seriously WTF???

What an incredible story. Ella Fields has done it yet again. Her writing is pure perfection and her characters are so real and so relatable and the story just flows beautifully and hooks you in from beginning to end.

Toby and Pippa touched me with their undeniably real personalities. You read about their flaws and the mistakes they make along the way, their character growth, and how page by page the emotions these two feel get stronger. There is no doubt they belong together, and each step in this story is proof of it.

This was such a phenomenal, amazing, touching, emotional and breathtaking story that hooked me from the very beginning and had me enthralled until the very last word. I was sad Pippa and Toby’s book ended but what a way to end their story.

Ella Fields has done it again. Nobody try to talk to me right now, I’m trying to process. Good heavens I just don’t know how much more my heart can take. I thought Suddenly Forbidden was all the things, Bittersweet Always takes those things and screwed them up and chucked them out the window. I have no feels left to give, Ella has stolen them with her words. Ella’s writing is flawless and captivated me from the first chapter, I lost sleep, I just couldn’t put this book down, when I couldn’t keep my eyes open any more, I napped for a couple of hours and as soon as I woke up, I was straight back to this couple and their story. This book is one of those books that will stay with me for a very long time. This isn’t just a romance, this is an enlightening piece of work that can help people understand and accept. I loved the acceptance that came with this story - it was such a huge part of the storyline. It filled me with happiness to see such a difficult subject handled with such grace, respect, and care. My hat goes off to Ella. Ella, thank you for writing this book, thank you for showing Toby and Pippa’s strength. Mostly, thank you for not shying away from this subject matter and doing it justice.

This book is filled with characters you can’t help but love. We see Daisy and Quinn from Suddenly Forbidden, and it was so cute seeing their relationship from Pippa and Toby’s eyes - if you didn’t read SF because the cheating element was too much for you, rest assured you can pick up there story here and know what happens without the nitty gritty of it all. Callum, swoon, I still love him, I really hope his story is next. Toby Hawthorne is one of those characters you can’t help but love and root for. He is sweet and charming, but he also has demons, he doesn’t always handle things correctly, and at times he frustrated the hell out of me, but I could also understand his actions too. His strength has no comparison. Pippa James, my girl! She freaking rocks! Her strength is astounding, I loved her so much. She was feisty and independent, she stood her ground when she needed to. When she loves, she loves with her whole heart.

I loved the relationship between Toby and Pippa, it was filled with acceptance and understanding. They had their ups and downs for sure, and sometimes it was hard to watch the difficulties they were going through. At times I was shouting at my kindle, begging them not to do something... or to do something. And that’s what makes this such an amazing read, that it can have me shouting, and crying, and sometimes even chuckling. I just couldn’t put it down. I can’t stop thinking about it. I think this just became my favourite book of 2018.

The cover for this book, sheesh, have you seen it? It’s beautiful. I have to say, I think this and the cover for Suddenly Forbidden are two of the best covers I’ve ever seen. I’m going to need to get them on my shelf.

this is the second book in a series of standalones and ms fields knocked it out of the park again with Toby and Pippas story.
"you're worth it all, and hopefully one day, you'll see that. see yourself the way I do."
I loved getting to see Toby and Pippas story and seeing all the struggles they have and there family have.
"you're my distaster."
"hi tobes....pip-squeak"
it was great to see more of quinn and daisy from the first book, this story has some great secondary characters also.
"but even among all the chaos, my soul will always recognize yours."
this story has some hard points in it but definitely opened my eyes to how hard it is for some people to deal.
I cant wait to see what else Ms fields has in store for us with this series.
I highly recommend this story.
