Reading the Maximum Ride manga reminds me how much I loved the books. I feel nostalgic now. It's beautifully drawn, I love seeing the characters and their wings look so cool.

Anyway. I dunno if is it just me or everything happens just too fast like-

The manga was a bit confusing, then I realized that Angel and Max were not the same people, and the scenes with Max in the lab were flashbacks from her past life. It kind of explains why she experiences headaches throughout the story. Max is also responsible for the other children. They all wanted to learn their identities, so the children teamed up and traveled to NY together. They discovered an underground tunnel to break into the lab where their identities are hidden. Together, they find out who they truly are.

Wow, these kids get into and out of so many hair-raising predicaments! It's kind of exhausting! Fun, but it stretches the limits of my credibility. Good thing for these magic manga glasses that I have, that allow the impossible to seem possible. Fast pacing, appealing characters, and attractive art ensure that I will read along a while longer.

I absolutely FLY through these!! I love them! Don't want to say anything about the plot because I don't wanna spoil. But this was even better than the first and the end!!! AH I need to start the third volume to see what happens!

This series is pretty over the top with "ooo, evil government experimenting on children", but the illustrator does a lovely job for the most part. There are a few parts where I'm not sure what's happening exactly, but it usually gets explained or resolved shortly thereafter, so it's not terrible.

Book two in the Maximum Ride series (manga adaptation).

Even after rescuing Angel, the flock is still on the run. They are searching for the truth about their families while constantly being pursued by the erasers who want to bring them back to the lab. Max is helped on the quest by a voice in her head who claims to be a friend. But is the voice really helping Max, or leading her down the path to her own destruction.

As in book one, the artwork is beautiful, but my favorite part of the original, Max's snarky dialogue, is completely absent.
