I've literally been in the worst reading slump this month, and it's been making me feel awful. This book was really good though, and the second half really made it for me. The end felt a bit rushed and chaotic for me, but I hope that the sequel fixes that. I love sapphics with dragons though, so kudos for that!!!

I really enjoyed this book, I found Faron and Elara to be excellent protagonists. Elara, pragmatic and noble to her very core, while Faron is a wild card of just *vibes* most of the time, were great opposites of each other, and an interesting way to show differences in siblings while their values mostly aligned.

The small cliffhanger got me good, and I will be waiting eagerly for the next book :)

I really liked this story, the dual pov and how it unfolds. But I hated one of the main characters so it was at times a bit of a drag to get through.

Library hold ran out I might come back but I marked it as DNF cause I’m very indifferent about finishing it. So much so that it’s confusing me. I like the lead characters but don’t care much about the plot or the ppl around them.
