Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this book. I thought the plot of the book was interesting and different but I didn’t enjoy the characters :/ I felt Reyna was extremely immature. Beckham would run over her feelings and stomp on them, she’d be hurt and mad. He’d kiss her and she would be in love with him, until they were done kissing, and he would throw her feelings in the trash again. I wasn’t a fan of Beckham but after hearing his reasons toward the end, I understood.

4.5 Gimmie the next book NOW Stars!!

“This man made her want to run as fast and as far away from him as possible. This man was a thing of nightmares.”

“All that was before her was Beckham. A predator luring his prey. And she was trapped. As thoroughly as a rabbit in a snare.”

“Sweet. Tempting. Addicting. He was the real deal. The perfect package.”

OMG! Looks like I may have found my next paranormal fix! Blood Type was everything that I never knew I needed. It was sexy, seductive and completely alluring. Reyna and Beckham’s story had me utterly captivated and furiously devouring the pages. I had so many questions and was desperate for all the answers.

Blood Type is fast paced and a totally refreshing paranormal romance. The plot is fascinating and you can’t help but get lost in the story that this author has written. I fell in love with the characters instantly and couldn’t wait to discover more about them. I wasn’t sure who was on the up and up or who could really be trusted. Add in a sexy, alpha vampire that has more to him than meets the eyes and well…let’s just say all bets are off. Blood Type is going to take you for one crazy and thrilling ride. All I can say is you better hold on because things are about to be crazy.

Blood Type took me by surprise in the best possible way. It was refreshing and intriguing. And I just loved the way the story unfolded. I couldn’t get enough of the characters and their story. From sex to intrigue to shocking twists and ending that will just leave you begging for more, this book hit all the marks. I think this series is off to one heck of a start and I for one can not wait to get my greedy hands on the next book in this series. The countdown begins now….

It’s been ages since I’ve read a true paranormal novel. I’ve been in a bit of a reading rut, so it was the perfect time to shake things up a bit. When I read the synopsis for Blood Type I knew I couldn’t pass it up. It’s a paranormal romantic suspense, and while vampire stories are nothing new, the premise behind vampires and humans co-existing is really creative.

The story is enthralling and I never stopping being intrigued by the intimidating, enigmatic, and powerful vampire, Beckham. I respected Reyna for battling her fears to do everything in her power to ensure that she and her brothers could rise from their desperate, impoverished circumstances. However, Reyna constantly frustrated me. If Beckham tells her it’s vital to obey certain orders, she agrees and then promptly disregards him. She can’t keep her mouth shut to save her life, and she seems to have little regard for her safety.

Despite the impression the cover may give, this book is scarce on the sexy times. Instead, the main focus is on character development and Reyna’s growing affection for Beckham. Since this is the first book in a trilogy, I think it’s a wise move on the author’s part. You don’t want to give away too much too soon. There’s plenty of time for intimacy.

I do have some concerns. I finished the book still not being 100% clear on why Beckham refuses to feed off Reyna. I think I must be missing something. The writing style didn’t always work for me. I found some of the dialog to be stilted and forced, and certain plot developments seem rather abrupt so they don't always ring true. Nonetheless, the story captured my attention and sparked my imagination so I count it as a win.

Blood Type ends on a cliffhanger. I only wish I could immediately dive into the next book but, alas, I’ll be forced to wait.

This was not was what I was expecting. The first 1/2 was great, then the last 1/2 lost me. I prefer my paranormal reads to be engrossed in the story and this one I wasn't. I didn't have that urge of reading it all in one sitting. I was fighting with trying the finish the end since I knew it ended in a cliffhanger. I had high hopes. Reyna annoyed me big time. In the beginning she seems meek, and introvert. Then all of the sudden since she becomes employed with Visage and as a live-in to Beckham (which I don't like the nickname Becks) she starts throwing fits, doesn't follow directions and repeats it. Some of the things Reyna says sounds like it was just for sake of drama/argument in the story and not according to her character from the beginning of the book. I also wasn't feeling the relationship between the 2 main characters.

This was unlike any other paranormal romance I've ever read! I was addicted from page one and couldn't put it down. I've heard it described as Pretty Woman with vampires and I can't think of a better way to describe it than that. In perfect K.A. Linde fashion, it's the amazing blend of vampires and suspense with a whole lot of that angst and romance. I can not wait for more!!! Give me allllll the Becks.

I am definitely in the minority. I did not like the MCs at all. I really wanted to but it just didn't happen for me. One particular scene really turned me off so much so I almost DNF'd the book but by then I was about 90% through the book! I really had high hopes for this one.

This book! I can hardly put into words all the feelings I have about this book. Blood Type is a paranormal romance that has to do with vampires. First of all, I’m not a big fan of paranormals. I read them every six months or so, and they’re always ok, but nothing magnificent. I was really big into them in the early 2000s but since then, I haven’t picked many up. However, Blood Type is by K.A. Linde and I love her and her writing so I knew that no matter what genre this was, I had to give it a try. And seriously people, this book is probably one of the best books I’ve read so far this year! It’s new, and refreshing and lends so much more to the genre of paranormal romance that I can’t stop thinking about it. What stands out to me about this book is it’s dystopian feel, and the political workings mixed throughout the story. There’s these characters that are cunning and twisted, and this whole interworking layer of deceit mixed throughout the pages. It was brilliantly done.

Blood Type focuses on two main characters. Beckham Anderson and Reyna Carpenter. Life as we know it today is gone. There was a financial collapse, and 90% of the world is destitute and living in sheer poverty, while the remaining 10% are living the life filled with money, parties, and extravagant gifts. And they’re also vampires. Reyna lives with her two older brothers in the warehouse district, and after trying everything to get a job, she applies at Visage, where she basically sells her blood to the vampires. Except rather than it being handled like a blood blank, she lets her sponsor drink directly from the source. It’s a last ditch effort to give her brothers a better life, and when Reyna is accepted into a new program where she is placed with a permanent sponsor for twice the amount of money, she finally feels like she’s making a difference in her life. Yet, after meeting Beckham, Reyna begins to reevaluate everything that she thought she knew about life, and like the layers of an onion, the story is slowly peeled back and revealed to the reader.

Reyna is strong, and determined, and doesn’t take no for an answer. She can be a little bit dumb when it comes to her decision making, but she’s young and naïve and it comes with the territory so it’s hard to fault her for that. It actually makes her character feel more real. She has bouts of anger, lust, and even jealousy and it all plays perfectly into the story. Reyna wants to make a difference in the world, and she continually tries to illustrate the differences between the classes, even though everything could very well just blow up in her face.

And then there is Beckham, or Becks. Becks is stand offish, and full of secrets. He hides himself away from Reyna and refuses to feed from her, even though that is what he is paying her for. Despite several advances and mistakes as he likes to call them, he tries desperately to stay away from Reyna. But there is an instant connection between the two of them that keeps reeling him in, over and over again. It’s a delicious tug of war between a captive and his prisoner, and wrapped up in this political intrigue with a pretty little bow. But when they do come together, the entire story explodes, and I couldn’t get enough.

I’ve read a lot of Linde’s books and this is, by far, my absolute favorite of hers. I can’t speak highly enough about how much I adored this book. Everyone, whether you are a fan or paranormal or not needs to pick this one up. It will change your view on paranormal romance, and I can’t wait to see what other treasures are hiding in the pages of Blood Match.

Will post review closer to release date!

You know that feeling when you are pulled into a book. That feeling you get when you read the blurb and you would do anything just to read the book. You can't explain the feeling but you just know in your gut it is an amazing feeling. Well, I felt it in Blood Type. A paranormal romance that freaking gripped me. A paranormal romance that captivated me from the first page to the last. I love paranormal romances. Blame it on Twilight, Vampire Diaries and The Originals that curbed my fascination over paranormal and all things supernatural. If it wasn't for those series, I wouldn't be reading books like Blood Type. Blood Type made my heart pump. Filled with some pulsing suspense and red hot passion, Blood Type, written by K.A. Linde, is a perfect concoction that you want to take a drink of.

K. A Linde is one of my favourite authors. The Wright Brother is one of my favourite books from her. I have read her contemporary romances and they are fabulous. But I did not know that she can write paranormal romances. I was completely sold with Blood Type. Hooked, lined and sinker. I went down in the deep end with Blood Type. Mesmerizing. Striking. Fantastic. Blood Type wrenched my soul to fiery pages with a cinching and explosive plot. The dynamic and mind bending characters. The rich undertones of the plot. Blood Type truly swept me away into a brilliant yet different world of vampires. K.A. Linde just exposed me to her world of monsters and I was severely addicted. Entrancing. Powerful. Blood Type was a riveting paranormal romance with a nail biting and spellbinding story that had me begging me for more. K. A. Linde is so creative and such a talented writer. She invoked lots of action and drama that's absolutely thrilling. K.A. Linde effortlessly wrote a paranormal romance with a palpitating vision into a new and dangerous alternate world of vampires mixed with blood and action to enthrall you. I loved every moment of it.

In Blood Type, you will meet our main characters, Reyna, a poor human who becomes a blood donor for a vampire and Beckham, a wealthy businessman matched with Reyna and you are going to love them together. Heck, I adored them. The sexual tension, you could cut it with a knife, It dripped. It swerved. It echoed. The push and pull so freaking sexy that it gave me goosebumps. Truly delectable. Reyna grew up poor and a survivor. Loyal and capable of protecting and providing for her family. She is tenacious and strong . She cared for her family and the ones close to her. A little impulsive sometimes but I admired her fire and heart. Beckham is at first an asshole. You will hate him at first. He is wealthy, a vampire and a bit scary sometimes. But her fiercely protects and has a heart that will warm you up and make you swoon.

It took a long time to write this review because the ending destroyed me. I still have not gotten over it and I am seriously need Book 2 asap. Blood Type is an amazing read. If you looking for a different vampire romance, then you need to check Blood Type.

I got to admit I was going crazy over the up and down dynamic between Beckham and Reyna. Especially when Reyna kept giving him so many chances regarding Penelope. I wanted to scream in frustration. Until I realized until the end that there was a higher plan in motion. I was also surprised by Everett's betrayal..dying to see what happens next.
