At this point I will ready anything that Elliott Rose writes. I was first introduced to the Elliot Rose-verse through her Crimson Ridge series and boy did that just reel me in. Vengeful Gods is such a different world from Crimson Ridge but the essence of Elliott’s writing is still there. The way she writes the plot, the spice, the characters, it’s all so alluring, captivating and sexy as hell. VG is a dark romance story. The FMC, Foxglove, is heir to a family legacy that is part of an underground secret mafia. She escaped from her family that dealt in seediest of the seedy activities that you would find in an underground world, only to be taken by 3 very mysterious, hot af, mouthwatering strangers and be pulled back into this world. Over the course of the book, she finds herself finding a home among the 3 men that essentially kidnapped her. Obviously there’s dark themes in this book but it’s a fiction and I had a hell of a time reading it. The spice was spicing, the chemistry with the characters was off the charts and I love how distinctive each MMC was from each other. Elliott did such an amazing job of creating these broken and fractured characters and then giving them space to find it in themselves to open their hearts to loving each other by the end of this book. Daddy Thorne, Ky and Ven could honestly do no wrong in my eyes and I was sat for anytime the chapters were told from the MMC’s POV’s. This book may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it sure was mine. Even though this book had dark themes, there were still tender moments in it, which I felt really balanced out the story. I can’t wait for Macabre Gods to come out so I can devour that book as well.

This is my first book by Elliott Rose that I've read. I must say, I need the rest of her books if they're anything like this one! Foxglove Noire escaped her family at the age of 17. Her father was in a secret society that dealt in child trafficking and selling of humans for nefarious reasons. She set herself up as a tattoo artist in a city and had been in hiding ever since she left. Enter Thorne Calliano, dashing, sexy in a suit man who comes into her shop and gets a tattoo on his rib cage and invites her to be his date to a corporate ball he claims the need to attend with a date. She begruggenly accepts his invitation, and when he comes to pick her up the following evening, she's introduces to Byron and Raven who are Throne's personal bodyguards. She is then kidnapped back into the world she has escaped from and discovers her father has died and these men have collected her as part of their retribution against her father. Following this; she lives with these three and starts with shenanigans a plenty on her journey back into this world and taking her rightful place in their world and society. This book is extremely spicy with dark themes and a why choose situation.. This is a 7/5 on the spice factor while being a full 5/5 stars and worth the read!

Very dark romance and never was boring. The ending had me focused so hard I had theories going on and none of them were right.

i really love when an rh book makes all of the men equally loveable. it’s just so nice not having to decide who your personal favorite is :)

this book was good. it was definitely 100-200 pages too long given the plot and lack of world building. i definitely needed more info on emerald, poe, who the anguis really are (beyond their weird rituals that seem pulled straight from the lords books (NOT that this is unique at all, it’s just my only point of reference)) and idk, just more backstory in general? i feel like something is missing, and instead of constant sex, we could’ve used a couple of plot development scenes that made the twist at the end more satisfying.

the smut was insane. truly. good shit. but some of those kinks?? idk man, the ven one (yall know what i mean, please don’t make me say it) really took me out, and not in a good way!! i am all for that if that’s your vibe but it isn’t mine, and that was a difficult read. howeverrrrr
thorne and ky? fuck me UP. loved them. can’t wait to read the novella with thorne and ven omg
