Kissing Nick is like finding out that Santa is coming twice this year. And he’s bringing things you didn’t even think about putting on your list.

I knew going into this, I wouldn’t be satisfied with this as just a novella. I need more more more! “Seductive, like a plate full of your favorite Christmas cookies. The kind that takes too long to make but melt in your mouth and remind you of your childhood” not only perfectly described Nick, but it also perfectly described my feelings towards the book! Holly comes up with every excuse possible why she can’t join Nick in Germany for the work trip, except he throws it right back at her, so she finally accepts the loss. Which was never going to be a loss. After years of working together, Holly starts to see all the sweet pieces of Nick. The parts she’s been ignoring because she’s been too busy finding him obnoxious and controlling. And then of course, he went and unwrapped her like a present and appreciated every inch of what was inside. Nick and Holly did a glorious job making it tense and awkward afterwards and until they finally get it together!

My Favorite Quotes:
•”Alles, was ich zu Weihnachten möchte, ist einen Kuss von dir.”
•”It’s not a scowl when it’s directed at you. It’s pent-up sexual frustration.”
•”Should we move this back to the hotel?” “You can’t wait that long.”
•”Let me take care of you.”
•”I’m not sure there’s room for you at the inn.”
•”Don’t stop touching me.”

7/10 Dirty Birdy
6/10 Forced Proximity
7/10 Workplace Romance

If you want so much Christmas in your story that you start craving snow, hot chocolate and talking in Christmas themed puns this is the story for you. I don’t think I can accurately express how much respect I have for Jane Ashton’s ability to insert so much christmas into a story. Reindeer falls is over the top Christmas with business and events all centered around Christmas, celebrating Christmas and all things Christmas related. Reindeer Falls is called ‘Little Bavaria' as it was founded by German Immigrants, and their architecture reflects this. Holly Winter works at the Flying Reindeer Toy Company and she thinks her boss, Nick Saint-Croix, is an oh so hot Grinch. When she has to go on a business trip with him she starts to see a different side of him. This story is entirely from Holly's perspective so you get to see how her opinion of Nick changes, and I found with a re-read that you can see just how smitten Nick is even before she does if you pay attention - I really felt for Nick and was happy he got his happy ending. This isn’t a long story, but if you want a christmas giggle with some romance this is the story for you - and the rest of the series is just as good.

Cute.

This was a really cute and funny story. I love the concept of Reindeer Falls and can’t wait to read more.

3.5 this was the second book (or rather, first novella) for my Bookclub For Beautiful Bitches.
I liked it, it was cute. But I feel like this would have been better as a book, rather than a novella, since a lot of things were rushed. Jana Aston told us of a lot of events, instead of showing them. Or telling us a character was a certain way, instead of them actually behaving a certain way, if that makes sense. I’m trying to keep this as vague as possible, to not give away spoilers.
Anyways, I’m eager to read about the other sisters!
Also, the characters have the same names as the couple in Mistle Tones, I’d highly recommend checking out that movie, it’s very cute

Why did I wait so long to read this book???? I had been burned by too many Christmas romances. I thought maybe they just weren’t for me. WRONG!!

I absolutely loved everything about this quick novella. I had true big out loud laughs multiple times as I was reading. It was sweet. It was STEAMY. It was perfect!!! Doesn’t matter that Christmas is over. Read this one now!!!

Cute for a Novella but there was not enough details describing the people and it kind of jumped a lot but it was still cute.
