I enjoyed it, it was raw and real and relatable to someone who has also spent a good chunk of time in the food industry.

I really enjoyed this book

Here’s what always gets me about Anthony Bourdain: right when I’m about to write him off as a self-satisfied narcissist he does something to remind me how genuine he can be. About cooking, about culture, about people – he actually does care. He can be deeply respectful in his own way. That comes through in “Kitchen Confidential”. It’s an honest, simple, enjoyable slice of life.

It felt like this book just dragged on forever. It was interesting to read about the inner workings of the food industry since I only got a glimpse of it in high school. I got bored with it though, and just wanted to be finished so I could move on to another book.
