This series over all was good. I mean it had its flaws and the gods are watered down ALOT. Which i you don't want to read about less badass god and goddess' then skip this. I went into the books expecting a lack of accuracy. However, it still managed to annoy me, especially the third book.

Kate annoyed me slightly as well. She starts off so strong and every so often throughout the second and third books, you have glimmers of that but otherwise she is so reliant on Henry. I get it, he is Hades that is powerful but so is she now. I really wish they had taken the chance to teach her some goddessy. Although on the other side, she proves that even though she was not born and raised a goddess, she is damn well capable and her human side actually helps her as well. I just wanted more balance. Why make her a goddess if she doesn't have a balance of human and goddess.

I just feel like the characters didn't get enough time in these books. It was all about plot. Which I am okay with in certain books. This is not one of them. I wanted to know more about the characters because they are GODS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. Despite the actual gods not being the focus in Rick Riordan you get more information from that series than this one.

That all being said, these books are quick and enjoyable. I read all three in about a week and they are on offer on Amazon UK right now so I spent about £3 on them.

I loved this book! What a great ending to the series. I'm definitely going to buy and re-read. Henry and Kate are just such good characters and I loved their story from beginning to end.

I love this series! It doesn’t follow the normal ways of Greek mythology and that is what I loved. I love how she made it her own way. I love the love story and all the hardships it look to get their happy ending

As much as I love these books, this one was a little too full of Kate and Henry's issues for my taste (although not as bad as book 2 when Kate does nothing but mope the entire time). Still a good ending to the series.

This book was soooo good and also super sad. But overall it was amazing writting, and character development and all that other stuff ;-)
medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

And once again, all is well in Olympus.

I am so relieved the war is over because Calliope's selfish, primadonna ways are getting old, and Kate deserves a well-earned happy ending. Speaking of Kate, I was annoyed at her at the beginning of the book for all her stupid decisions, but she did clean up her mess through her bravery and stubbornness. Also, I am glad that Henry is finally showing his emotions to Kate compared to the walking cardboard that he was before! And let me tell you, that guy knows how to charm the ladies Kate. Although he's a bit on the cheesy side, he still deserves a round of applause for that.

Though it did end in a happy note, it wasn't all happy.
I was sad to see Ava go. How could you kill the Goddess of Love and Beauty? What would all the beautiful people *cough*like me?*cough* do now? I understand that everything she did to Kate were horrible but she did it for Nicholas and her family, and her death was sort of an act of redemption? or Cronus is just a horrible piece of trash.

Goddess Inheritance didn't quite lived up to my expectations, being the last book in the trilogy and all, and the whole book was just all about getting Cronus back into Tartarus, but it definitely satisfied my mythology-fiction-adled brain and it could finally rest this series in peace.

The Goddess Inheritence Review on K-Books

The Goddess Inheritence is one of those books that you cannot wait to get your hands on and read but when you do it sits on your shelf unread for forever. I was lucky enough to get ARCs of the first two books in this series and I devoured them. I am a massive fan of mythological books anyway, especially ones with greek mythological influences so naturally I fell in love with this series. So, here I am, over a year after the finale of this series FINALLY writing my review for it. The Goddess Inheritence was everything that I could have wanted and more. I loved every single second of it.

Kate was supposed to have the summer of a lifetime, travelling and finding the help needed for her beloved husband and new family. Instead she has been captured and is being held against her will by the Goddess who hates her guts and a terrifying Titan. The worst thing? Her husband and family don't even know she is missing. Kate must find a way to get a message to her family and find the help that they need before they, and the whole world, is sent into devastation.

The Goddess Inheritence was absolutely amazing. I loved every single second of it. I had truly forgotten how much I adored this series. Right from the first page I was thrown back into this fantastic mythological world and I couldn't put it down. I just couldn't wait to find out what out what was going to happen. It was just an amazing, emotional roller coaster ride.

One thing that I find, when reading a lot of mythological books, is I start to mix up the stories. I found myself, at one point, wanting to scream 'no don't go near him he is EVIL' and then realising that no he isn't he just was in JLA's Covenant series. Other than that I absolutely adored every moment of this book.

The Goddess Test Series is one of those that I will read again and again as I just love it so much. I fell in love with Aimee Carter's storytelling skills and her characterisations and world building in this series and it has made me definitely want to read everything else that she writes. This is a must-read series for all YA and Mythology fans. Fantastic!

*Spoilers ahead if you haven't read the first two books*

Well, I finished the series and I still don't know what exactly I think of it. As with the other books in this series, some parts had me quickly flipping the pages while I found myself skimming other areas. I didn't think Kate was anywhere near as frantic as a normal mother would be when Milo was taken from her. She didn't fight all that hard to get him back. And then she basically just gives up fighting near the end. WTF? Who does that when their child and husband's lives are in danger? Those stupid character flaws aside, I can't really pinpoint exactly what my issues are with the series. Maybe it's how strangely the romance developed between Kate and Henry. Maybe it's the way everybody seems to be in love with Kate, even though she's not that different from your average person. Maybe it's how I felt like there was a sexual connection between Kate and James, and how she says she's not into him, but "jokingly" promises him that he'll be her first affair (oh and the fact that they have the same dad and still joke about that. Bleck) All I can say is that I wasn't all that impressed with it, but I think I would have liked it better if I would have read it a few years ago.

3.5 stars

Better than the last one.
