There were a few good spicy scenes in this book, but I got kind of bored with them towards the end. The ending was strange, and felt a bit out of place with the tone of the series.
This book is long, and in the end felt long… could have been shorter

No one is black and white, each character has various shades of grey. Once you get a chance to see those rare moments of truth, vulnerability and of their true selves, it makes the struggle so much more delicious.
Story is such a strong FMC, and I envy her, throughout her protecting herself as well as letting her guard slip for her MMCs. They are far from perfect. Once that happens, the magic of their twisted and albeit messed up bond shines with clarity.
Check your TWs as this series is extremely dark. Darker than I thought it would be but could not stop reading.
An excellent close to Story and her guys. ♡
Also someone who has read this series please message me so I can exchange view points on how I will never be able to hear "little sister" or "big brother" normally ever again.

“I know I’m right. Love makes you stronger. And they’re the weaker ones for not feeling it.”
Oh Lord. Ha. See what I did there? But really. This series. I am obsessed. I can’t wait to continue reading in this world, but what an absolute incredible way to start. I literally can’t stop thinking about this series and that carries a lot of weight- because I forget everything. I could stay in Forsyth for the foreseeable future and be content.

**Review of "Lord of Mercy" by Angel Lawson and Samantha Rue**
"Lord of Mercy" is a riveting culmination of "The Royals of Forsyth University" trilogy that confidently dispels the notion of weak female protagonists and cookie-cutter male leads. In this enthralling installment, the female main character, Story, emerges as a fiercely resilient and complex individual who embodies the determination to navigate the treacherous waters of her world. She doesn't just embody the fight-or-flight instinct; she represents a profound will to endure and thrive, which is a breath of fresh air in contemporary romance.
The male characters defy the typical archetypes—there's no idolization or predictable anti-hero here. Instead, Lawson and Rue present them as dynamic and raw, forcing readers to experience a rollercoaster of emotions. Each character is flawed, making them deeply relatable. I found myself oscillating between love and ire for them as their journeys unfolded, particularly with Killian, whose transformation from a hardened, emotionless guy to someone more attuned to his humanity is gripping. The stepsibling kink adds an intriguing layer without overshadowing the narrative, seamlessly woven into the storyline between Killer and Story.
Rath captured my heart from the start, an enigma whose dark actions only endeared him to me further. Meanwhile, Tristian's character arc provided an intense rollercoaster of feelings, provoking a love-hate dynamic that ultimately resolved into a profound understanding of his past and motivations.
The pacing of Story’s evolution is particularly noteworthy. As she is influenced by her relationships with Killian, Tristian, and Rath, she evolves beautifully, culminating in a thrilling showdown that had me cheering out loud. The moment she takes down the Countess is an absolute highlight—an exhilarating “chefs kiss” moment that showcases her growth.
Then there’s Ms. Crane—what a delight! Her presence in the trilogy was captivating, and I wholeheartedly hope to see more of her in future installments. As for the enigmatic TED, the twists and turns leading to the reveal were skillfully executed, leaving me both surprised and satisfied, though I still wanted justice for Story.
The spice factor? Off the charts! Whether it’s sizzling encounters in the hot tub or the tension-filled moments at Tristian's family party, the authors masterfully blend heat with emotion, leaving readers breathless.
"Lord of Mercy" doesn’t just tie up loose ends; it crafts a rich tapestry by pulling in characters from various frats, providing a sense of community and foreshadowing future stories. It’s a narrative that keeps you engaged and guessing, and its layered complexity leaves a lasting impression. Lawson and Rue have given us not just another romance but a thrilling journey of growth, loyalty, and passion that I’d recommend to anyone looking to get lost in a beautifully crafted world of complex characters. If you haven't yet dived into the Royals of Forsyth, you're missing out on a great adventure. Grab your copy of “Lord of Mercy” and prepare for an unforgettable ride!

These books are a fast paced slow burn! So many different things going on at once but it all flows and works together to make one badass story! HIGHLY recommend to read them in order so you do not miss any of the back stories that are being developed as the series moves along. These characters made me HATE them.....they made me FEEL for them.....they made me loathe them entirely UNTIL they made me fall hopelessly in love with them at the end of their story!

I really enjoyed the extended epilog at the end. It just rounded out the series very well!
