It’s not the typical genre I read, but as it was a black author and the title caught my interest, I had to give it a try.
I found Rayna a bit annoying at times and unreasonably difficult, but nothing Metice couldn’t handle. He is a demon after all.
Not a conventional story of falling in love and marrying a demon, but that’s why it’s a must read.
There could have been some more in depth information as to Raynas ancestry and some more explanations around her previous breakdown and how it related to her actual life, but that’s just a small niggle.
Overall it was a fun, interesting, steamy and often funny read that left me with a smile on my face at the end of it.
I was having a hard time with the writing style. It's such an interesting story, however I can't push myself to finish it. Maybe another day.

I thought this book was fun. It’s an urban fantasy about a woman in her thirties who is fed up with the dating pool (rightfully so). One night, she gets wine drunk & accidentally summons a demon with a spell she read in a book. I really liked the premise & the diverse cast. I am going to preface this by saying if you read the first chapter & dislike it - this book is not for you.
I really enjoyed the FMC and related to her pretty heavily. All the thoughts she has going through her head are so real - as soon as she sees a demon she says “oh hell no” and takes off running. That got a laugh out of me & I would probably do the same.

I did find the world building to be lacking but I try not to be too harsh about that when it comes to books like these. I also felt that the pacing was a little off when it came to her understanding/utilizing her powers & the final fight was literally three pages long.
I also didn’t love the random hookup between the FMC & someone other than the MC after they had already met and were semi building a relationship.
I think this book did not reach its full potential BUT if you go into this knowing what you’re going to read it’s really enjoyable.

This book was not what I expected—and I mean that in the best way! I Accidentally Summoned a Demon Boyfriend completely surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. Jessica Cage delivers a fun, fast-paced story filled with charm, witty dialogue, and characters you can’t help but root for.
What I thought would be a light paranormal romance turned out to be even better—there’s depth, heart, and a storyline that had me fully invested from beginning to end. The chemistry between the characters was fantastic, and the worldbuilding was just enough to pull me in without overwhelming the story.
If you’re looking for something unique, entertaining, and full of personality, this one is a gem! Can’t wait to read more from Jessica Cage. 💕🔥📚

DNF @ 35% - I feel like I'm reading from the POV of a horny, immature teenager. I don't believe this character is supposed to be in her thirties. The humor is just not for me.
