very enjoyable read with the typical romantic suspense sex scenes. I really enjoyed the storyline.

This was the first book I started in 2018 and it was a pretty good story.

Sandra Brown delivered a suspense thriller intertwined with a bit of forbidden romance but I wasn’t really surprised with the ending and it was a little predictable for me but still a good story overall.

The protagonist Crawford was a troubled man who due to grief after the death of his wife, had surrendered custody to his in laws while he worked through his issues.

Now, he’s trying to show his reckless side is gone to regain his daughter Georgia back but when a masked man shoots up the court house, he reacts immediately and his actions save Judge Holly who was about to rule on his custody hearing and he’s thrown into the middle of catching the real masked shooter and also Judge Holly and him spark a forbidden love between them as well.

I did actually enjoy both Crawford and Holly as characters and enjoyed seeing the the story from both Crawford and Judge Holly’s perspectives. Overall, if you like mystery/suspense novel with a some romance included, I’d recommend this book a try. However, I wasn’t super shocked at the ending but still an I interesting read.

The narrator, Stephen Lang, for this book was awesome! He brought the sizzle and pop to the front and center of this audio read. Some characters are more likable than others; some smarter/craftier. It is a good read for a dreary, rainy day--- fast paced and action oriented.

Takkan saya debat, kalau masa lalu Hunt memang malang, tapi bagaimana penulis menggambarkan cara Hunt 'memandang' dan 'berpikir' tentang Holly, sejujurnya cukup membuat niat saya utk dnf semakin membesar.
