Aiden Snow is so yummy! šŸ˜‹ perfection!
(I Wish it was Duet narration tho!! It would elevate this audiobook to the next level!)

I truly enjoy this series. SJ Sylvis writes amazing stories that pull you right in. Daisy and Kane should not want each other… yet that can’t stay away even tho they ā€œhateā€ each other.

Kane has been best friends with Daisy’s brother for years. Daisy and Kane have a past that her brother does not know about.

I don’t want to give away any major spoilers…. But I can say these two are delicious together and the banter is amazing.

Love a good second chance romance. The banter was soooo good and the love so strong. These two really wanted to best for each other.

The mystery behind what happened in the past kept the book intriguing. We knew she had his best interest at heart and he hid the real him for so long because his heart was always hers, no one made his feel the way she did. I love that she was the mascot, it made the story funny. And he just wanted to take care of her. This had a strong Lupus representation. I don’t know much about it but I was sucked in to learn what the author provided.

I think the ending was anticlimactic. I thought someone was going to kidnap her because of the money his brother owed. But maybe I just read too many dark romance šŸ˜‚

I have been devouring these audiobooks as they come out, becoming such a fan of SJ Sylvis and her hockey men. Although I didn’t dislike Kane, he’s not Rhodes 🫠

Kane and Daisy grew up together, had a rocky moment and haven’t talked to each other in 6 years. Their hate for each other is palpable for the first 30% of the story, and all because of miscommunication at 18 years old.

Man watching the tension build and build until the line finally snaps was so satisfying. They were drawn to each other no matter what the situation, and when they finally got over the past and found out what the two were going through, they were anchors for each other.

I thought the rekindling of their relationship was beautiful. I enjoyed learning about their past through flashbacks and them finally being honest about why they ended up the way they did.

Aiden Snow can never not do an amazing job with narrating. He made me hang on every word of this dang audio, and I couldn’t get enough. I just love his voice and his emotion while narrating!! Lilly Drake is new for me, but I loved her voice as well. Daisy was a softer spoken character with some fire in her. It was brought out well!

If you love a hockey romance, you really need to add this series to your tbr ASAP! And do it in audio if you can.

Oh my, this series just continue to serve - the feels, the banter, the spice, the found family and above all a strong connection between to people meant for one another.

The tension was front and center between Kane and Daisy when they are forced together again, it really was a slow burn with a lot of simmering heat beneath the surface. And I was so here for it.
There were a lot of history between them, and though it made for some seriously emotional tension at times, it also really enhanced how deep and profound a bond they shared. At the same time, the banter these two had was truly *chef's kiss* and I really loved all the back and forth. I really liked seeing them finally opening up and letting their walls down.

The found family of the hockey team, as well as Daisy's brother/Kane's best friend was beautiful. And all the little things and moments just made the story that much better.

I absolutely adore Daisy and Kane! What I love most is how neither of them will back down from a challenge and they are determined to get the best of each other.  The banter is hilarious and I love how she transforms every situation Kane puts her in to annoy him even more!  This tension makes it so freaking perfect when they can't fight the chemistry and I ate this book up!

Narrated in dual by Aiden Snow and Lilly Drake- they both did a wonderful job at narrating this book! I loved getting to listen to Kane & Daisy's story with this audiobook and the narration brought them to life so beautifully!  The tension between them came across so well in this audio and I loved it!

Kane has been friends with Daisy's brother for years.  She even lost her virginity to Kane 6 years prior, before he left for a hockey opportunity that later launched his professional career.  He left on not so great terms after she acted aloof the day after and he said some hurtful things back.

Now that they've both lived their lives for the past 6 years, they've grown and moved on.  Except they haven't and Daisy is now moving to Chicago to live with her brother.  He's an intern and friends with the specialist Daisy now sees for her chronic medical condition.  She needs a job though and when her brother asks Kane if he knows of anything, he's quick to set something up.  Boy does that backfire on him!

For my rating, I'll say jealousy is fine but when it's happening a lot throughout the book, I get over it pretty fast.  While it's fun to read about the possessive alpha-male, I swear that both characters were jealous over the smallest things here.  By the end, I wasn't a fan.  The word "jealous" appears 42 times in this book and seems overdone for me. Had it not been for it happening so much, I would've given this more stars.  I also would've been more OK with it had the characters not been fighting each other so much rather than raising their white flags and sort through their past.

I will say I'm excited to read about Malakai and Reese.  I'm hoping it's a good angsty one.

Thank you SJ Sylvis for my #gifted copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Holy spice! This is SJ Sylvis’s spiciest installment yet —and it was completely addicting! I love the hockey world she has created through this series. The way I fly through each book is unreal, and this third installment was no different!

I’m a sucker for a brother’s best friend romance, and Kane and Daisy did not disappoint. Their chemistry was intense — leaping off the page from the start. I loved their history and how you could feel the longing Kane’s longing held for her.

Kane was intense in all the best ways—guarded and possessive, yet deeply vulnerable and caring with Daisy. Watching him struggle to trust again while also not being able to resist letting his walls down for her was heartwarming. Their moments of tension were perfectly balanced by tender scenes that made me melt. Kane’s softness with Daisy, especially when she needed it most was an unexpected side to him that was a standout part of this book

Daisy was such a great character. She was strong, independent and defiant. I loved that she didn’t let her chronic illness keep her from living. As someone in a wheelchair, I’m often cautious when it comes to stories that portray chronic illness or disabilities. Too often, these stories are written as the sole defining trait or a relationship hurdle and seems as if it is all the character talks/thinks about. But Sylvis handled Daisy’s story with care and nuance. Her health was part of her story—not the only story. She expertly weaved Daisy’s health concerns with her being an average young woman with everyday problems and experiences. It was refreshing to see that balance and representation done so well.

I love being back in SJ Sylvis’s hockey world and so hope that Maverick’s story is next because he was such a star in this book!
