Oči su mi pune u suza, a u stomaku mi je neka praznina. Teško je opisati, ali nikad se nisam ovako osećala zbog knjige.
Jako tužno i potresno, ne znam kako nisam zaplakala do samog kraja knjige.

It’s more of a 3.5 stars. I think listening to it after Matthew Perry has passed made the book a little more heavy. I appreciate that he didn’t hold back or sugar coat anything (even if it was hard to read), because it brings to light the disease of addiction. Hearing everything he went through and then coming out of it at the end was powerful. I will say I was ready to be finished with the book when I was 75% done. Overall, good memoir but probably won’t read again.

Only rated three stars because I feel bad rating it any lower (realistically like 1.5-2 stars) because it repeated so much

From a literature perspective it’s not the worlds greatest book. As a person with a recovering drinking problem, insanely relatable. “All of a sudden this creeping feeling came over me for the first time. I felt my blood on fire for more to drink; I really wanted another drink, and I could think of nothing else.” It’s amazing to think how quickly drinks turned into opiates for Perry and that story could just as easily have been mine.
