Yay for a new favorite audiobook narrator!
From the beginning this book had me laughing out loud! Elsa’s treasure hunt to discover more about her grandma’s life was moving and hilarious and smart and deep.
I loved how none of the characters were truly good or bad. They were all a mix of misfits, but in the perfect way. Elsa’s sweet sincerity in everything really moved me. Even as she called people “little shits” haha!
Now, on to the next Frederick Backman novel! I can only hope it matches up to sweet Elsa’s story!

Fredrick Backman did not disappoint yet again.
While slow at first, the story managed to capture my attention wholeheartedly. This book follows a 7 year old named Elsa in a semi-mythical adventure where she has to deliver apology letters from her grandmother to other people.
What I loved most about this book is the side-character and the exploration of grief, acceptance and forgiveness. The author reminds us readers of how it is important to acknowledge both the faults and the positive traits of the people in our lives
The book explores mature themes from a child's perspective which definitely made this and interesting read.

Lovely in the way all Backman's books are lovely with a stunning, quirky, loveable, and intertwined ensemble. Didn't hit quite as hard for me as others, but still a tear jerking and heartwarming read.

It's "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" meets "The Elegance of the Hedgehog," as written by a very proper English-style Christopher Moore. I haven't enjoyed a protagonist as much since Scout Finch. I listened to the audiobook, and the narration is pitch-perfect. My favorite book in avery long time.
