I didn’t really like the relationship they had because he liked her from the beginning with didn’t felt real and another thing I didn’t like are the many tropes like one bed and enemies to lovers. The book should just have one or two tropes and they should be more important and better written

This felt…. familiar. The plot seemed original enough… but the details felt inspired by one of our fav fantasy romance series. Which I didn’t hate. I think this is Mads first book so I feel like I can give the props it deserves for having a really interesting plot. But I didn’t feel connected to the characters or really felt their connection to each other.

Have you ever read a book that feels like home? That’s this book for me!! 

I seen Mads promote the book on her TikTok and went straight to KU to read it, as soon as I started reading I was engrossed in the world. Also, tell me why I was balling my eyes out before I even fully got into the book!?! 

I loved the different creatures from other fantasy books, and the different elements of magic. The whole world was just so enchanting.

I still have so many unanswered questions.. need the second book asap!!
