“Nothing friendlier than a suck and fuck.”
My first dive into the Divorced Men Club, and I didn’t leave disappointed. May not be my favorite book by the author but it had all the humor and lightheartedness that I come to expect from books in this universe. Payne and Beau just seem to work since Payne sees Beau as a good dude without needing to change. On Beau’s part we just see a dude who has had a die hard crush on Payne for like 20 years so yeah. There really isn’t any emotional stuff in this book and it’s more just an easy fun read with lots of laugh and some good spice. Can’t complain about that.

This was a fun one. I enjoy roommates to lovers story, and unrequited pining, so I had a great time with this one.

This is the beginning of a great series.
We're in a small town were a handsome bar owner, Art De Alameida, decides to create a group of divorced men to support each others navigating their new lives as singles.
Little did he know that all those men will fall in love again and that they'll find the love of their life.
In this book, an introvert, a little akward and quirky fantasy writer, Beau, offers a room to his brother's best friend, Payne, who recently divorced after finding out that his husband has been cheating on him.
Payne is so grateful to Beau for the help, but he doesn't know that the man has been in love with him his whole life.
They are comfortable around each other and soon their forced proximity situation will put Beau under a new light and Payne will find himself more and more attracted to him.
He is conflicted, though, because he thinks it's too soon to start a new relationship and because Beau is his best friend's little brother.
Their relationship goes from friends who support each other to friends with benefits to finally lovers.

What prevented me from giving a higher rate:
How things ended between Payne and his ex was unsatisfying: I would have loved way more for revenge on that cheating asshole.
And when Beau was telling Payne about how difficult it was to attend the man he loved's wedding, made me sad for him.
One thing I adore the most about this series are the texts in the DMC club, they're so very hilarious!
I received a copy of this book from ForewordPR and this is my honest review

I finally started this series and I don’t know why I waited so long.
Beau and Payne were so adorable from the moment they met when he came back home. Beau was a hot stuttering mess, which I found to be so adorable.
I am so sad that Payne had to go through what he did with his cheating husband, but if it hadn’t happened, Beau and him wouldn’t be as powerful as they are.
I love how Payne loved Beau’s writing and what got me was how he had helped him act out the scenes to see it a scene would work in his book. It was so cute how much he supported his writing more than probably anyone ever had.
I am so happy that Payne was able to face his ex and to not get back with him. With everything he’s been through since the breakup, he might have gotten back with him but he’s so much stronger.
Loved the DMC chat chapters. They had me dying with laughter. Also, loved the side chapters like Lizzy, Marty and the girls were so adorable. All in all, this was such a cute and emotional sweet story.
ROOMMATE ARRANGEMENT is the first book in the Divorced Men's Club series.
After getting a link from a co worker, Payne's world collapses. His husband of twelve years has been cheating and posting those encounters online. Payne never saw it coming and going back to his hometown and becoming a divorcee isn't something he ever wanted but is now a reality. Having no place to stay he is lucky enough to be able to use his brothers best friend, Beau, spare room.
Beau is an author and spends most of his time in his head leaving him awkward in social situations. Having his longtime crush Payne moving in with him could be the best idea or the worst. Beau's reasoning for moving in not only because he doesn't have somewhere else to go but to help Beau be less quirky and awkward.
I loved watching this back and forth play out. After Beau admitted his feelings it was up to Payne to where their relationship was to go. Beau was brave enough to be himself knowing others find him weird but Payne loved those things and bringing them together was everything.
The DMC is a group of divorced or soon to be divorced men coming together being there for each other. I love getting to see this group of guys helping, joking and being there for each other. I can't wait to see what's next for them!
