This was an enjoyable story. I liked the overall creepiness of not truly knowing what was going on. However, the book within the story did not add anything but confusion for me. I didn't liked being pulled out of the main story to hear what was going on in the fictional screenplay.

An interesting little thriller that was only spoiled for me by
promising something supernatural which it then completely didn't deliver on. Mentions of banshees or mothmen were ultimately a weird thread that didn't go anywhere.
I enjoyed the twist, although so many characters felt weirdly 'extra', but I think I'd benefit from rereading with context in order to spot all the hints.

Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I'm a sucker for any horror story that happens on a horror movie set, so this immediately appealed to me. There were so many twists that they almost doubled back to not being twists at all, but it was a very enjoyable read that focused on atmosphere and spooky ambiance.

Thank you to Blackstone Publishing for letting me read Run Time early. This one comes out on August 16.

This book has all the ingredients for a perfect thriller. The setting is fantastic, the characters are decently developed and the premise seems fool proof, at first. This book was super entertaining and I loved a lot about it but when I got to the ending it lost me. The whole book its about a movie being filmed from a book and you’re reading the book so obviously the clues are all there. I just wish they weren’t ALL THERE. It took all the surprise and open mouthed moments away for me. It was entertaining and I don’t regret reading it but don’t say I didn’t warn you.

This was good, not great. I think the story was unique and fun but the last half of the book felt like 3 stories in 1 and I wasn’t really a fan of the ending.

The format of the book isn’t easy for me to follow.

The main character was portrayed as emotionally unstable and the entire plot revolved around it. I did finish it but it bothered me the entire time.

This book has a fantastic premise. My problem wass the execution and the characters. The main character is unlikable and comes across as stupid more than once. Also, what was with the random inserts of feminism, which is only sometimes relevant but just inexplicable at other times and even nonsensical when it wars with the need to survive in her thoughts? In general I felt that the characters were pretty much 100% one-dimensional and stereotypical.
