Well then...

Harlow AKA Princess is being released from prison for a crime she didn't commit. She grew up in the MC, her brother and father are both members, but she always told herself that she was never going to get involved with a member. She doesn't want that life for herself and is more than capable of getting "her rocks" off elsewhere.
Read for ByoB

That is until she is meets all alpha male, Cruz. He is new to the club and has become a member while Princess was incarcerated. He is a force to be reckoned with and doesn't do slow. He is in your face, he takes what he wants, when he wants and doesn't accept anything less. That is until it comes to family and perhaps Princess.

Princess is ruthless. She stands up for herself, doesn't put up with crap and will go down swinging. The change in her that is caused by Cruz had my mind spinning. She acted in ways I didn't really expect from her. While she never lost her edge, she can be tamed.

This was a good introduction into the Ravage MC. You meet a lot of characters, threats, friends and enemies. There is a number of things happening in the background and one threat leads to many unanswered questions and more players than was first thought.

I really look forward to getting to know all of the players better and find out what in world is going on with Princess's brother and best-friend.

Lord above this was beyond bad. Littering every sentence with the f bomb doesn’t make a book edgy or dark. The “ hero” grunting commands at the FMC and constantly saying he wants to have sex with her doesn’t make him an alpha male or sexy. The FMC swearing at everyone and having fist fights with the men doesn’t make her a strong woman.
If you want a crass book with very little substance then this might be for you, otherwise it’s better to avoid it and save your money for something better.

I think my annoyance with this book is off the scales. This book rushed sooooo much crap into a matter of like 2 weeks. Nothing was believable really. I can't even put into words all I can't stand but I'm going to try and theres probably going to be spoilers. Sorry
SpoilerSo she gets out of jail, humps a motorcycle infront of her dad and bro, and hates being called princess but thats all she ever is called. Sleeps with a guy she just met, he then claims her as his ol lady after like 3 hours of knowing her, which in turns evidently makes her brother and father just completely drop her and act like they have nothing to do with her. He has a kid and she falls instantly into a mothering role instantly without ever really being around kids. She acts bitchy but really has no back bone. *breathes* Then the one that put her in jail is after is because she wants the life the lead has and blah blah blah.

I wanted to rip my hair out and slap people. Like how everything happened was just so stupid.

First time reading this author and there were things I liked about this book and things I disliked.

First of all Princess! I for one cannot stand it when a female heroine gets given that title, although to be fair, Harlow didn’t ask to be called by that name at all. Second - who jumps on a motorcycle and starts masterbating in front of their dad and brother - that was seriously icky. Princess was a kick ass biker chick (a little over the top - I think)and at first I didn’t like her, but I did warm to her in the end a bit. I also had problems relating to their very fast relationship and falling in love in a day - just not realistic. Never heard a cut called a rag!

These are the kind of lines in books I also cannot stand “His sexy voice made my pussy cream”, quite a bit of this kinda talk going on in Princesses head and I just think it’s a bit tacky, just personal preference.

Things I did like, Princesses maternal instincts toward Cooper, and what a sweet little boy he was. Even though Cruz and Princesses relationship was quick I did like them as a couple, the storyline was interesting and I like the fact that the club is all about family. One thing I also have to remember is this is the first book in the series and I thing the series has potential, I’m definitely going to try book two.

I listened to this on audible and I think the narrators did a very good job of bringing the story alive.

Re-read 3/23/17

Originally rated 5 stars but took a agar away for the vibrating Harley thing. Who does that??!!??!! Gotta love a book that doesn't have a nice, sweet epilogue.

the amount of times she said ‘my boy’ made me wanna throw this book away.

2 1/2 stars for me

I wanted to love this... it had all the makings of a freaking lovely book but just fell short... I'm all for a tough as nails hardcore take no crap h but I felt like Harlow in some ways was just too over the top for me and I couldn't see past it to actually like her much. Cruz was all alpha but I needed more of a connection with him... also the crazy drama all around just didn't do it for me. I felt like it added nothing to the actual story. Had Harlow been a little toned down it might have all clicked together but eh. It was an ok read

I promised myself I wouldn't read any MC books or paranormal books until after a book I had on pre-order had been read, but this one called out to me. Maybe because I wasn't in the mood to read that other book or because I liked the write up, I dunno, but I do know I really liked this book.

It starts out with Harlow, aka Princess, getting out of prison after roughly 25 months for something she didn't do and returning home to the club where she grew up around the majority of the guys and her dad was VP.

Enter Cruz, a former marine and young, patched member of the MC. When Harlow returns to the Club and goes to check on her "man", a few of the mechanics of the shop try to stop her and she holds her own with them. Cruz is amazed by how quickly she stops herself from laying a hand on him when he turns her into his chest and she notices the MC marker. He's a patched member. She immediately showed him respect. Then sees her dad. He's shocked that she's "Princess" and she challenges him to a fight in the "ring".

Harlow is a spitfire kind of woman and the electricity and tension between her and Cruz is instant. Diamond, the Club president, immediately puts Cruz in charge of her protection. And nearly immediately, Cruz claims her as his ol' lady.

The problem she has at first is she doesn't date or sleep with MC members or prospects. She doesn't want that for herself. Ever. She respects Diamond's orders though and sticks to Cruz's side.

Harlow and the Club knows who is responsible for her going to prison. She wants payback but obeys Diamond when he says for her to stay out of it, that it's club business.

She is like this throughout the book. She can hold her own against men and women and proves it a few times.

She tries to deny Cruz, but her body won't let her. She bonds almost immediately to his son, Connor and loathes Connor's mom, who isn't a good mom to Connor. When Cruz sees the bond Harlow has formed with his son, it melts his heart even more.

I don't want to give too much away about this book because there's alot going on and because there is, I didn't want to put it down. Harlow shows not only strength, but vulnerability and Cruz, while a tough-ass man, shows Harlow he can be tender and proves to her that being his ol' lady and Connor's mom is right where she belongs.
