Ahhhh I love Michael Vey! I did have one problem with this book tho. In one of the earlier books the Amacarra tribe was wiped out by the Elgen wasn't it? But they are thriving just fine in this one. Richard needs to double check his previous work before writing. Luckily I can excuse the plot hole cause I love the characters!

Felt very repetitive and followed a lot of the same story beats as the past books. I still think he should have stopped at number 7 and left it how it was. Also, I've never noticed (or forgot until now) how often he uses the word "said" in this book. I listened to the audio book and it felt like every 4th word was "said" and it drove me nuts. 😅 I don't know what the plans are for future books, but I hope they actually end soon. 😬
