HONESTLY.....

This book.......

WAS HILARIOUS.
(STORY, CHARACTERS, WRITING, PLOT...ETC)

Ok, here's the breakdown: if you like action packed entertaining movies like, NATIONAL TREASURE, FOOL'S GOLD, THE DAVINCI CODE, or TRANSFORMERS.....(I was gonna include INDIANA JONES but HELLS NO that movie is better than all these combined), then THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU.

There are books that are great: because of their content, writing, developed characters, and story.
Then there are books that we just read because it sounds interesting and is entertaining in the fact the it's a fast-paced book..........in which that it was cliche, had laughable characters, predictable plot, and flimsy writing.....but overall, we enjoy it nonetheless.

Was the CONSPIRACY OF US an awesome action packed book with great characters, developed story, and terrific writing????

well, yes....

and NO.

TCOU HAD: A REALLY REALLY GREAT PREMISE: AN INTERESTING STORY. A GREAT PACE. WRITING WASN'T SO BAD EITHER. To say in the least it was a very interesting story that was v v fast-paced filled with non-stop action.

BUT....

but it did HAVE: weak characters. confusing plot. terrible deliverance. And by deliverance I mean how the author developed the story to us readers.

In the end, this book was a great read for me in terms of entertainment; I went into it with an open mind and to say in the least, I really liked it! However, if you're going into this book wanting something more, than this is NOT the book for you.

But if one day, you're feeling bored and want to read something entertaining, action packed, and fast paced - be like me and go into it with an open mind and take a break from all those 'dictionaries' you guys read....you know? Like, live a little? #YOLO.

JK.

But seriously, it wasn't that bad. *shrugs*.

I really loved the action adventure of this book. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it isn't a freestanding book. I'm immediately starting book 2 to find out what happens next!

4.5 stars. This book was really good, and I plan on reading the sequel immediately.

Initial Impressions 6/14/16: 4 stars
I'm always a fan of books involving some sort of heist/espionage/secret identity so this book was a lot of fun! I guess the best way I could describe it to someone is that it's a good read alike for The DaVinci Code (not "YA DaVinci Code", whatever that crap may be) in the sense that it's got some history, secret societies, and some definite jet-setting political-thriller aspects.
I really loved the characters in this book and how they all connected. It was interesting to see their relationships to each other and what their fates might be for the Circle.
The ending got just a teensy bit cheesy for me (it crossed over into a the realm of the dramatic - although I guess in this case, anything might feel dramatic) and I felt like it was just a tad overdone but it really sets up the next book and I can't wait to see how it continues!
Perfect for fans of The Fixer by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and great for fans of Also Known As by Robin Benway and Heist Society by Ally Carter if you're looking for the same feel but on a more serious note.

So this book started kind of horribly, then went in a totally different (and better!) direction. It wasn't as mind-blowingly awesome as I was hoping it would be, but it sure was fun and I liked it enough to want the sequel sooner rather than later.

Some things to keep in mind: the first 50 pages or so are SO misleading as far as plot and tone. I really thought I was going to DNF it, because in those first ~50 pages, Avery is basically too stupid to live
Spoiler(like seriously on what planet does it make sense to CHOOSE to jet off to France with a dude that pulled a freaking KNIFE on you? And not tell your mom or SOMEONE?)
. But once you get past that it gets more interesting. I mean, the plot is still kind of weird and ridiculous and doesn’t make a ton of sense, but it’s fun. Like, I came to this book for the conspiracy theory and “secret history” stuff and I sure got a lot of it, even if it wasn’t totally plausible.

The ending kind of annoyed me though. Things happened, but I didn’t feel like it was anything of significance and nothing was really resolved. There’s just a really abrupt ending with an obvious setup for the next book.

I've muddled through till about 50% and just can't continue. Think this may have been more enjoyable to me as a 14 year old. However I could tell from the first chapter that this probably wasn't going to be good for me. Main reasons why I put this down boil down to:
1. Improbable events- believe me they have to be something I consider super improbable or over used. I think this book over used them to a point I just couldn't buy a main character jet setting to Paris with total strangers without a moments hesitation.
2. Flimsy characters- this is definitely emphasized by the improbable events. However there were moments I read from Avery's pov and thought to myself this is cardboard and glue holding this character together. The writing in this case did not help her either. A guy drops a picture of her she jumps to conspiracy nearly immediately.
Overall just not for me.

3.5 stars. The main character annoyed me quite a bit, but overall this book had an interesting premise and some complex characters.

This book was fun but could have been better. I read it in the hopes of something like "Heist Society" but it didn't quite meet that level. I'm not sure how I feel about Avery and the fact that in the beginning of the book she just went along with everything not having any of the info. There were parts of the story that I liked and I'm actually really interested to see where it goes in the next one.

I had to re-read this so i can read the sequel. I loved it and am excited to read more.

An interesting book on a new world I have never heard of. I enjoyed this book because it just seemed so different and new from books that are focused on secret societies and it shows that it doesn't just have to be people with powers or talents, it can be normal celebrities.
