There were some moments I enjoyed and found to be heart-warming, but mostly I felt pretty neutral about the whole thing. The main character, Simon, reminded me of Ove from A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman, and overall I’d say I’d got more out that book than this one. I don’t regret reading it though, it just wasn’t very profound in what it was saying. But not every book needs to be profound, the story and the setting wraps up nicely and creates a comfortable mood.

This book massively reminded me of Women's Hotel, which I equally love. The intertwined lives of 5-6 characters were very cozy to read about. The cover art is also very pretty. A small critic is that I would have liked it even more emif the stories were a bit more related to the cafe, as in, some parts of a character's life being unfolded in the cafe itself.
