I observed far less of the material than I simply just enjoyed listening to his voice.
I liked parts of this book. Offerman is a really funny guy and has a fairly interesting life. I could have gone without some of the more extraneous details of his upbringing and the advice for current and aspiring actors (not me). The book is best when he is trying in multiple humorous ways to try and live a fulfilling life in all facets. Also, woodworking is awesome. Good job nick. By the way, I recommend the audiobook narrated by Offerman. I can imagine consuming it any other way would not be fully experiencing the tome.
As a casual viewer of Parks & Rec who's only seen Parks & Rec in passing, I probably enjoyed this book more than diehard fans. He shared some good chunks of wisdom and he has a great voice, so I definitely recommend the audiobook. When he reads it, his sophisticated vocabulary combined with a heavy dose of vulgarity comes off as totally natural. The audiobook expired while I was on the second to last chapter, so I went to the library and sat in the aisle while I finished it. This was a perk for two reasons: I got to see the sprinkling of illustrations I didn't know I was missing PLUS I checked out the book he and his wife released earlier this year that was next to it on the shelf.

I adore Nick Offerman. He's one of my favorite actors and wife guys. He's got an incredible way with words, if you ignore the constant repetition of words and phrases.
Overall? Quite enjoyed this book. Didn't love Offerman's overuse of certain words. Worthwhile, though, I think.
