This was a really sweet opposites attract, jock/nerd book in the Red's Tavern series. Logan was introduced a the previous book, but this can be read as a standalone. I love that it was straight forward and drama free as Brody & Logan learned to let go of their fears of the past in order to have a future. I do wish there was more of Red's Tavern, but I really enjoyed this book.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily gave my honest review.

I have loved all the books in this series and was so excited to see one about Sam's cousin and I was in no way disappointed. It's well written with an absolutely wonderful storyline. There wasn't as much interaction with the guys at Red's Tavern but still great with absolutely wonderful characters. I love the whole jock/nerd genre and it hit all my boxes. It's very sweet with no angst, highly recommend. Can't wait to see what's going to happen next.

It took me a moment to remember who Logan was in the Red's Tavern world but I was quickly reminded that he was Sam's cousin. This book felt separate from the others in the series, since there was significantly less crossover in seeing former characters but that was ok. I really loved the development between Brody and Logan and it was easy to connect with the characters and the secondary characters surrounding Brody, however, the characters associated with Logan were less developed throughout the book.

Enjoyable addition to the series.

This was a sweet romance between two new roommates, the nerdy Logan and the out-and-proud jock, Brody. They grow close as they get to know each other and especially after Logan tutors Brody. It was an easy romance with little angst. There are secondary characters that are memorable from other books in the series, but the slow romance that develops between the two is sweet.

This was a super low angst, beautifully written book. A lot of "No you're more amazing." "No YOU'RE more amazing." conversations between two extremely mature and extremely adorable MCs.

What I Thought About The Book - I did enjoy this book however, I felt like it was a bit detached from the rest of the books in this series almost like it was the first in a new series based at the college. I know that Logan is Sam's cousin which links this book to the rest of the books but I felt like we didn't really see much of the previous characters or the tavern.
Anyway, I loved Logan and Brody I think they are perfect for each other, Logan helps Brody with his studies and Brody helps Logan to come out of his shell. I loved the side characters too and hope that maybe there is going to be a spin-off series with the other guys from the football team but also Roman I really hope he gets a book.
The book was well written, easy to follow and kept me hooked. Overall another great book from an amazing author.

Would I Recommend - Yes

Would I Read Again/Continue The Series - Yes/Yes

Rating - 4*

I love Red's Taven and I want to live in the same town! Every new book in the series is like coming home again.
This book follows the romance of Logan and Brody. At first I was having trouble placing either of the characters for before in the series. I was super happy that Raleigh mentioned it again that Logan is Sam's cousin and that is how their relationship tied into this series. I also love that they brought back Red's dancing. It put a wide smile on my face reading the passages of the group being in the tavern.
This author has the ability to focus on not only the relationship, but the individuals. Logan's growth is huge from beginning to end. Through Brody you get to live the high life of a famed college tight end and the reality that even after four years he doesn't have it all together. Logan makes him understand that it is okay.
They truly supported each other and helped one another realize that what they strived for what always there it only had to be brought our more.
This author is definitely one of my favorites!

Loved Brody and Logan's book!
Super real, genuine, honest characters who go from roommates to friends to lovers. I loved all the cuddling and holding hands and a well deserved HEA.

I hate to say this but The Tight End was probably my least favorite story in the Red’s Tavern series. Logan and Brody were sweet together and apart, but their relationship just felt a little forced and lacked some substance.

Logan is a self-professed history nerd who spends most of his free time in the library or reading until he falls asleep. But the biggest thing to know about Logan is that he’s lonely and has been for a long time. After being bullied in high school he became more and more shy and introverted, keeping himself closed off to making connections.

Brody is a football superstar whose name is known all around campus and is often linked to gossip about his romantic partners and sexuality. He’s a charmer with a huge personality and he turns Logan’s world upside down, introducing him to a side of college life he’d never explored before.

Logan and Brody become housemates during their senior year and there’s definitely some mutual attraction there. They become friends and help each other out with being more social and with studying history. But, as their relationship turned into more, I just didn’t feel the connection. Yes, they were sweet together and both deserved to be happy after everything they’d been through, but I didn’t love the two of them together. I found myself checking to see how many chapters were left pretty frequently - I just wasn’t invested in their story. They felt a little immature/shallow as characters and I wanted more from them - more connection, deeper conversations and more interactions with other people, especially their families.

I’ve really enjoyed the Red’s Tavern series overall but didn’t connect with Logan and Brody so this one was just okay for me. Hoping for a more mature story next if Raleigh Ruebins keeps this series going.
